I have been collecting 40k for quite a long time but I am having trouble finding a good game in Hertfordshire. Can anyone help me out? Vulkan Hes'tan is getting very impatient and it giving me strange looks...

Where abouts in herts are you at? I'm in St. Albans myself, sat here with my space wolves looking decidedly dejected! A friend of mine also plays but he is being a bit retricent in actually putting an army together (who builds the predator BEFORE the troops!?).

If you fancy a game give me a PM, I've got a table that is about the right size although I'm lacking in any terrain at the moment sadly.

Also, I'd like to look into getting a more regular gaming club going in the area - as far as I can tell Watford Wargaming is pretty inactive nowadays :(.

I have a fair amount of terrain but no table.

Well if you know a few other people in the area maybe we should all meet up and discuss getting a gaming night going - it'd be nice to meet some other players at any rate . I'd be well up for a game at any rate. The table I have is a bit low down but it is the right size pretty much.

Hey guys, I live Abbots Langley so local. I haven't played since 2nd edition about 15 years ago, but have the latest codexs and rules, and am keen to play again. I have unpainted Marine and Eldar armies, again a bit out of date - tons of troops but not much mech. If you don't mind helping a 34 year old noob up to speed with 5th edition I'm up for a game! Rubicant: I'm well up for a game, we'll probably end up helping each other as I'm still learning the rules myself! I'd love to play against Eldar, only really played marine vs marine so far. I'm well up for just having a game but I understand some people aren't keen to do it that way - we may be best arranging to meet in a pub first just to discuss it all. Whatever others are comfortable with at any rate, just let me know. I've got a table at any rate - it just depends on how good people's knees are as it is low lol.

Let me know gents - the table is available and I'm a willing opponent at any rate.

Just spotted this thread and if you are interested then Uxbridge GW in the Pavillions shopping centre meets tonight for its regular Vets night. Starts around 5.00 and finishes around 9.30. Hope to be there myself tonight, along with my son. We are probably taking Fantasy but lots of 40K players too, good group, 5 mins walk from Uxbridge tube and bus station. Not Herts but close enough?

Im often out and about in stevenage GW any near/in stevenage?

Thanks for the info General Mayhem, still getting back into 40k atm but may pop down in the future, Uxbridge isn't that far. I find GW a bit in your face and young, but sounds better there.

I moved up a few years ago and haven't found a local club in the area.

I've tended away from GW stuff (except Bloodbowl) although I probably have enough GW stuff to put together WHFB & 40k armies at a push, but have lots of forces for Judge Dredd, Dreadball, 1938, Moderns (Brits & Russians) as well as decent amounts of good board games,

Always up for painting sessions too as that's been my primary hobby focus in recent years.

Im in Letchworth and work in London all the time so can reach most places. If any one is keen for a game i have an army some good scenery and a (moderately) good idea of the new rules.
