The list is for the second round of my summer league.

Company Command Squad + banner + Astropath
Company Command Squad
Marbo
Platoon Command Squad + AlRahem
2x Infantry Squads + Grenade Launcher
Commissar (for one of the squads)
Special Weapons Team, Demo Charge
Special Weapons Team, 2x Melta

Platoon Command Squad, 2x Flamer
2x Infantry Squad+ Grenade Launcher
Commissar (for one of the squads)
Lascannon Team
Autocannon Team
Missile Launcher Team
Veterans, 3x Plasmagun
2x Leman Russ Battle Tank, Multi Melta Sponson, Hull heavy flamer
1495 total

Model availability:
Everything except the russ' sponsons is WYSYWYG. I do not have any other models evailable at the time, though I can turn one of the russes into a Chimera or a Collossus.

General tactics:
The outflanking platoon is supposed to arrive at a good position to claim the enemy's objective/kill his stuff, but only after the defenses on that side of the board have been softened. The two SWT will be screening the 20 man infantry, Al Rahem will act as a counter assault to any single characters / MCs, but his main role is to give a "Bring it down!" to the meltagunner SWT and "FRFSRF" to the 20 guys.

The two russes are ideally going to form a wall behind which my other mobile infantry will take cover and advance to support the outflankers. This is the reason for the MM sponsons - I expect a meched up enemy to run for the charge on the tanks. Blowing up transports will help. The problem with this is when the enemy has barrage weapons, especially a Manticore, as it will murder the infantry. In the case the plan will have to change to a more area terrain hugging perspective.

The Heavy weapons will set up a firebase and provide support , mainly shooting vehicles. The command squad will buker with them in order to give orders, as well as the plasmavets in case of enemy deep strikers.

In an essence, this list is more or less experimental. Any commends are appreciated.

One big comment jumps out at me:

Unless you're on the fence about staying in the hobby, you're going to need to buy more assault weapons eventually, so why not buy them today. The lack of heavy and special weapons is really crippling your army. Unless your opponents are playing under similar restrictions you're going to find yourself unable to win many of your games until you get more of them.

Also, since the multimelta sponsons on your Russes are currently not WYSIWYG, make sure to never assemble them. Multimelta sponsons shouldn't be used on a basic Russ; Plasma or Heavy Bolters are both more useful. If you don't have the right sponsons, a "naked" Russ for 150 points is a decent choice.

Sorry to sound harsh, but if you post saying "these are the only models I have available", there's nothing we can do about it.

Honestly, it's fairly weak list and the whole army looks rather confused. If you don't have any other models, there's not much we can do for you. If you want, I can go over and comment on the whole list and try to point out what I think can be improved.

The CCS are an excellent place to put special weapons - why don't they have any now?

Al'Rahem's platoon should be loaded with special weapons too, ideally meltas or flamers as these benefit most from outflanking. SWS, by the way, must have 3 weapon upgrades, no less. I don't think that platoon really needs a commissar, it's only a 20-man blob and the enemy will probably target the smaller squads first (provided you arm them up)

2nd platoon, heavy weapons and such fine, why not give the infantry squads heavy weapons as well? Also, the infantry veteran squad won't really be able to get close enough fast enough to justify the points IMO. I'd scrap them for a vehicle, or more standard infantry with heavy weapons.

Battle tanks, I don't think MM sponsons are a good idea. Firing the battlecannon at tanks is a bit of a waste. Also, Russes are a LOT tougher if they stay on your board edge, with infantry around the front and sides so no-one can get into melta range. By bubblewrapping your tanks this way, only S10 guns are really dangerous to them. If you try and get into effective multimelta range you're going into range of the weapons that can hurt you.

Hope that helps. Overall, I think you need to arm your infantry to the max to get full use from them.

Because my paycheck has been delayed for the fifth week in a row.

I know, I have been using russes ever since I started guard (a year and a half). The reason why I am trying the MM sponsons is just because I want to see if they can be used to gain any tactical advantage and, well, to pimp up the points.

@I-bounty-hunt-the-elderly

I prefer to keep the command squads weaponless, in order to lower their target priority in my opponent's eyes.
The infantry squads lack heavy weapons because they seem much more useful when they are mobile. Now, HW Teams are very, very fragile, but so far I have managed to keep them operational for the most part.
Point taken about the SW Teams, I don't know how I overlooked that.
The veterans are there for defense, they are not supposed to move a lot.

Thanks for the responses.
