I'm a little confused by this. The spearhead rules state, for most spearheads, that "Up to three tanks" may be selected. This implies, to me, that you can take one tank as a spearhead. If that's so, then when does the Spearhead rule apply, always? Or never?

Can you even take a single tank as a spearhead?

don't the rules also require you to be within 4" of another spearhead model? if you only buy 1 then you will struggle to meet this requirement....

Indeed. While you can buy a single tank as a spearhead, it will never be able to be within 4" of another member.
