Hi Dakka, been a little while.

I'm starting a Tyranid army and want to include a Swarmlord. I don't want to buy 4 Hive Tyrants for the boneswords and really aren't that good at sculpting plasticard.
So, I was thinking about buying the boneswords from Paulson Games.
Just wanted some info on them, whether they're reliable, quality of their parts etc.

Well, they seem pretty cool, and for their price, even if they aren't good quality, you might as well buy 'em.

Ah, that clears that up.
But I just want to know if they're reliable and all, from people other than the guy. Companies have told porkies about that sort of thing and I just want to make sure that they're reliable from their customers.
How could that offend him in anyway?

He's in good company over on Resinaddict (a blog).
The guy (Mangozac) that did the Tau superheavy assault walker is also there (and he also posts here).

OH-I Wanna get out of here

A) Not sure if he has big ol man boobies
B) Ill second Julain, got 2 sets of talons. Shipping was well packaged and quick. I havent started em yet, so I can take a pic of exactly how they look when the show up if you want. Cant tell you anything about the Boneswords tho. I think I will be picking up some of the upcoming jump packs, wolves, and hopefully a libby dred set if it comes out!

I've seen his casts and they are well made. He wouldn't be with the group of them on Resinaddicts if his stuff was below par. All of them know what they are doing and know how to pack and ship stufff properly.

I've not ordered anything from him (as I don't play any armies that would need the add-ons).

His names was Robert Paulson...

Lol, the fight club reference never gets old. It's actually Jon but it didn't help that my middle name is Robert so when fight club came out it's what everyone at work and in my unit renamed me. Thank god I don't have the giant man boobs.

Without blowing any smoke, the resin parts hold up to game play well. Being that they primarily go on plastic warriors the model is light so generally has no problems with damage from being tipped over or ocassionally being dropped. Typically they will pop off the arm instead of breaking. They are far from indestructable though and will snap if bent too much and the resin can warp if it's left in a car or in direct sunlight. The warrior swords are a bit thin, but if treated normally it's not a problem.

Any warping can usually be fixed with soaking it in hot water.

I've had my parts hold up well to normal game play, the only sword I've personally had break was on my tyrant and that's because he's a large metal model and he got dropped about 6 inches landing squarly on the sword arm which broke the hooked tip but not the body of the sword. Even a metal part probably would have broken or bent from that same type of drop, so I don't think it was due to any weakness in the materal. Overall they've held up very well both in the shipping and during game play.
