Subject: Dark Eldar 1000p - Space Marines killers

So after my friend switched his army from Tyranids to Chaos Demons I was like wooot, what should I do now. But when my other friend started Chaos Space marines I was totally lost. Space Marines have high toughness and armour value, so it is quite tough job for splinter rifles or even -cannons to take them of.
After thinking and counting some points to 1000, this is what I got:
HQ
Archon (Shadow Field, Tormentor Helm, Agoniser)
Incubi retinue (5 Incubis)
Troops
Warriors (15) (2x Blaster 2x Dark Lance)
Warriors (15) (2x Blaster 2x Dark Lance)
Raider Squad (5 warriors with Blaster, Dark Lance) (Raider with Disintegrator, Screaming Jets)
Heavy Support
Talos
Ravager (3x Disintegrator)
Ravager (2x Disintegrator)
My own point of view on Dark Eldar army list is that Elites of DE are worthless and Incubis are most. Any other ideas to give??

What sort of strategy are you going for? Are you going to be more assualt orientated or are you going for a more static approach?

...tanks from the 23rd and 48th batallion were flanked by tanks from the enemies' 56th batallion. It was then that General Smedfordshire revealed his secret weapon: a slightly larger tank.

Usually I have just sat down and waited till the enemy comes. At the same time I move my faster units (ravagers and raiders) at some edge of the table or half behind of some building... it differences..
But I do use Tau "Patient Hunter" tactic a lot

The elites are NOT worthless. Wyches are one of the best units in the codex. You simply need at least three to be effective, since, if they shoot down one raider, surely you'll doubt them. Turn one assaults!
I would drop the talos and some warriors to have three ravagers with disintegrators.

I'd be careful with Incubi as they cannot FoF.
The Archon needs a splinter pistol and drugs.

OK, this is going from VERY old memory, but the best thing I ever did against Space Marines was an Archon loaded up with tormentor helm, agonizer, combat drugs, shadow field, with an escort of 10 Incubi with no blasters. Everyting else was just to fill points. I think I may have had an Incubi Master in there? It was a long time ago, and the sweeping advance rules were much different. But that was my power unit, and it won many games for me. I'm so confused by all of you.. who would put two HQ units in 1000 points? especially against CSM! They won't even have enough units to make the lord worth it in the first place
No you do not need a haemy to use a talos
If you use ravagers, either make it 3 dis or 3 DL, not both.
Wyches are one of our best squads, don't knock them.
You should not be slogging it like you are- my 1000 point lists look something like this:
Haemy, destructor OR stinger (NOT BOTH) Scizzorhand.
8-10 man raider squads, splinter cannon, TFex on sybarite
3 Ravagers- 2 with dissies, one with DL's
This is a scary list, as 3 heavy support options that the enemy needs to take care of or be annihilated are a powerful thing. The haemy can take out large numbers of enemies with his destructor (that is typically what i give him) but is no slouch in cc either with scizzorhands and a sybarite with poisoned blades backing him up. If you really want, give him a shadowfield to protect your HQ KP
Also, your lord build is weird. If you take one (i only take archons over 1000 points) you have 2 builds that are common, and then the reaver build.
Build 1- Punisher
Lord with ~Punisher, Tormentor Helm, Shadow Field, Combat Drugs, Trophy Racks~
Build 2- Agoniser
Lord with ~Agoniser, Splinter Pistol, Shadow Field, Combat Drugs, Trophy Racks~
Reaver Build- Lord with ~RJB, Punisher, Tormentor Helm, Shadow Field, Combat Drugs, Trophy Racks~
It's also not uncommon to see Animus Vitae's thrown in there too. Give it to the RJB lord and Phew! he kills a unit and suddenly that's not a S4 power, but a S5 coming from a super high WS character, watch out! So as you see from the above builds, Punishers get the Helms, and agonisers get the pistol, it's cheaper, and gets you the same thing. The helm is only needed because the punisher is a 2handed weapon...
