How about Foundry?

I'm on a sudden Dredd kick...

Well, they do a Judge Dredd Miniatures game, according to their site
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/miniature/series.php?qsSeries=65

Looks like "gangs of MC1" part two/redux.

Only it's a skirmish game with judges v everyone else.

Foundry apparently do them too.

Mongoose are in the process of re-releasing all the Dredd figures they did which is good news for me as I can now get another ape gang to add to the first one

The only issue I have with the mongoose miniatures is that they are a "large" 28mm. Special mention to the Sky surfer, who looks redonkulous IRL.

I should also say much prefer the Foundry minis and the original [and still the best IMHO] Citadel ones are relatively easy to pick up on eBay.

The Mongoose page indicates that they will be releasing a new JD game, anyone heard anything on the grape vine?

I have a load of this stuff if anyone is interested.

If you want quality ones, try getting the foundary versions. Better selection, better scale, better everything.

Mongoose's guys are just plain...Odd.

Some are really neat, like the robot crew, or the apes. Some are downright nasty, like the blob, the basic plastic gangers, and the judges.

If Mongoose can square away thier fauty minatures attempts, I might even give this one a relook.

There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

You haven't seen the original artwork for Skysurfers have you?

Of ALL the images from JD, you single out the skysurfer as the worst?

Citadel's collection of JD stuff from back in the day is still very nice, though.
(I have a Judge Dredd on foot, a biker judge dredd judge Giant, some Tek judges, Anderson, the dark judges, the Angel gang, a fattie and some apes out of the original set).

I recently painted a bunch of the Foundry miniatures and they're pretty nice models, definitely closer to 30-32mm than 28 though. They don't stand on their own very well though and should be rebased. Great detail - the badges have the Judge's name on them.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Oh but I have wise one.

Its rather all those miniatures and mongooses skysurfer was the worst.

I have the GW ones, they're fantastic. Mongoose's one just looks like he is about to fall of the back of his board, its just a poor miniature.

Avoid the Mongoose plastic gang if they are selling it. Easily the worst models ever made. They are abs plastic which is rubbish to work with and the detailing is atrocious.
Only time I've ever thrown a box of minis away.

My favourites are the old citadel miniatures models, fantastic models if you can dig them up on Ebay.
