Say I have a hive tyrant with toxin sacs (which makes me poison 4). If your toughness is less than my strength does it still wound of 4s or does it go to wounding on a 3 or 2 with re rolling wounds?

If Bruce Lee is advocate and does kick someone between the legs in a fight, why would I be to good to do it?

My fighting style: Hit em hard, hit em fast, hit em where it hurts, hit em where they can't see you or hit back.

It's funny how everyone wants their opponent list to be fun to play against and yet their own playlists are often tough as nails and impossible to modify.-Q'iq'el on ATT

Somewhere in south-central England.

It makes you wound on a 4+. In other words it degrades your performance against weak targets which you would wound more easily with your normal strength.

That's why you put toxin sacs on weak beasties not on monstrous creatures. (Except the Tervigon.)

If you also have scythed talons you still reroll your misses of 1.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Well, there is a bonus to having the sacs on a high strength model: you get to re-roll your missed 'to wound' rolls if your S is higher than their T.

Its not in the codex but rather in the BRB under USRs.

You always, however, wound on a 4+.

Poison also gives a reroll to wound if your strength is greater than or equal to the targets toughness. Your toxic tyrant will wound on 4+, rerolling any failed wounds against toughness 6 or less.

That's worse than wounding on a 2+ so it's only a bonus against T5 or better.

Basically, toxin sacs is pointless on a tyrant so only do it if you're planning to use him to hunt MC's.

You should also take into account the cost of toxin sacs on an MC compared to Gargoyles or whatever.

This is veering off topic into tactics, though.
