Well, the general fluff behind this army:

In the 38th Millennium, a Space marine chapter known as the “Space Jugglers” left the imperium for their own selfish reasons. Ten thousand men strong, they hastily retreated their home world of Sirender III toward the eye of terror, in hopes of joining an existing chaos legion and extracting their revenge against the Emperor of Mankind.

During their perilous journey to the Eye of terror, Their Battle Barge, the domesticus was attacked by Imperial navy forces. Under the onslaught of Imperial forces, the battle quickly turned from them. They quickly lost the battle and they spiraled into oblivion….In their last moments, they asked the chaos Gods for help, begging them for their lives….None of them answered…Except one.

Wyskherz, The God of Arrogance and Stubbornness answered their call. Realizing that to have a Chapter of space marines at his disposal would be invaluable, he quickly repaired The Domesticus, and guided it safely through the Warp. They emerged in the orbit of a strange planet, uncharted by all accounts…They quickly made land fall.

During their first months on the planet, they quickly built infrastructure and reorganized their legion. After months of successful living, they encountered strange beasts never before seen to the eyes of men. These beasts were the dominant species on this planet before the Space Jugglers made this their home, apparently. They were what we now call ‘Cats’. Although physically ill-prepared to be the dominant species, they had managed it through sheer luck, much like the Space Jugglers, by feeding on the only other animals on the planet: Mice and Sardines.
The Space Jugglers found this astounding! How could such a lazy, stubborn creature become such a fearsome predator? The Space Jugglers found them inspiring, and they soon repainted their armor to match these beasts. They invited the beasts to join their legion, and they easily obliged, tempted by their strange new food and wonderful hunting techniques. With their newfound courage, the space Jugglers built a majestic Citadel, dedicated to these strange beasts and their impossible luck. They called their new home world: Tabby VI, named after the species that inhabited it, The Tabby.

After several years of peace on Tabby VI, The Space Jugglers had learned how to breed the creatures to their advantage. They made several hundred “Super Tabbies” with modified astartes gene-seeds. Realizing that the Tabbies didn’t really like being so large and buff, they stopped creating new super Tabbies. However, these few hundred would soon join the astartes in battle, serving as loyal beasts at the beckon of their masters.
After several more years, Wyskherz finally realized that it was time the Space Jugglers knew of his plans, and he revealed himself to them. The Space Jugglers had already assumed they were under the influence of a higher power, and they quickly met his demands. Wyskherz knew of the Tabbies, and he too soon felt inclined to admire them. To this day, Wyskherz always appears as a feline, and it is this reason the Space Jugglers worship him above even the Tabbies. He embodies them in all their traits and personality. He is known to them as the God Cat.

Now, in the 41st Millennium, the newly birthed legion, the Doom Cats, wreak havoc across the universe in an attempt to please their god beyond comprehension.

Alright, well, although humorous, please don't post useless spam. I want actual advice here. This is just a vague background right now. I'll add more tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

well first off 10,000 space marines in one chapter is a bit much.. i don't think that many is suppose to be there. haha.

making up a chaos god is a bit much, maybe make it a greater demon undivided or something, some very very powerful force, but not with the power of a chaos god. i feel a bit weird reading about a new god.

so your space marines have fighting cats, liek the space wolves have fighting wolves (and riding wolves)

i think worshipping the cat is a bit much, maybe honoring it, or finding them useful at some point. You're fluff is humorous, but it is over the top, it can be done in an interesting way if you made it seem less over the top and more realistic in some ways.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
hope that helps. i could see an army with cats being really cool and interesting but i feel it would have to be done in a less humorous light.

10,000 space marines from the JUGGLERS? that get bored and become CHAOS CAT MAHREENS??? why stop there why not make them all grow chaos mutations on their helmets giving them ears, paws and :3 's

if its a joke, i don't get it. if its vaguely serious, tone it down. if its serious.... i don't know what to say.
if your thinking of cat marines base it more off bast (egyptian cat god? and less of kitty cats and it'll be better...

You love it you slags!

There are so many things wrong with your fluff.
Sure, the names may be totally dumb on purpose, but 10k marines would never happen. And entire chatpers don't just turn traitor for no reason.

Honestly I can't tell how serious you are being. If the answer is "very", I think that this background is "very" bad. If not then... you don't need other people to critique it so just do whatever the hell you want. Have your 50,000 marines that all have dual powerfists and are cats and jugglers and have their own chaos god and are totally super sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Somewhere in south-central England.

I think you should base it around the ancient Egyptian cult of Bastet, the cat goddess.

i mean i think people here are being a bit harsh, but in some senses i agree.

you can always write whatever you want as your fluff, but you have to figure out how serious you want to be. if you arent being serious then why ask for advice since advice will direct you to making less of a joke army.

i think you should go with the Egyptian cat goddess, try to make them more honoring the cat rather than worhshipping the cat. like space wolves have a ton of wolf emblems and wolves in their army but they arent in awe of the wolf running around fighting for the wolf. it just happens to be a powerful creature on their planet so they honor it and utilize the creatures in battle. if you can do something similar with cats the army would be interesting and could easily be serious. but if it is just this silly army it will be hard to find people who enjoy it or people who will take it serious without you changing the army.
