I was a little short of points writing this list, i would have liked to put deamonic possesion on the vindies, perhaps wings on the DP and some combi-weapons for the rhinos but in that case i'd have to drop a CSM squad. I'm otherwise quite content with the list, I really think i managed to fit a lot of units in a mere 1000pts army.

For 1k it's pretty good. I would scrap a rhino squad for a fire support squad of havocs or CSM and use the extra points for wings at the very least, but demonic possession on the vindis will make you more resilient.

Wings are definately needed on the prince and you should take monstrous creatures in pairs!

interesting list- seems like it'll be effective- except the DP is a bit out of place. He wont be able to keep up with ur rhinos without wings and his gak may get shot up alone out there

I like it for 1k, you can only spam so much at this point value.

30 CSM in rides is impressive!

Maybe change the x2 plasma gun to x2 flamers and then add wings for the DP?

He's already got 2 x flamers he doesn't need any more. Keeping them as is gives a nice balance so still can tackle terminators and monstrous creatures with the plasma.

For a 1k I find this list to be quite good as said before i would also suggest you give your daemon prince wings. Probably more worth it then a squad of your marines in a rhino.

I wasn't advocating dropping the plasmaguns. I was advocating getting the DP wings without losing too much.... I'm not sure which is more important, but the footslogging DP will definitely fall behind...

Maybe drop a rhino but thats my suggestion as Koski said your daemon prince will fall behind without his wings.

Well, at 1500 I'd say the same. But 1000 isn't enough for two princes.

One squad of marines on foot / in cover / holding a back objective would probably still be good. You could experiment with which unit is best to leave behind too.

Agreed, I'd rather have the daemon prince on front then a squad of marines but thats personal strategic advice

What about puttin away the rhino for the plasma squad (then they would stay behind, taking care of any deepstriking terminators or hold an objective)
Then give the daemon prince wings and perhaps a nice mark?

A pretty cool daemon prince would be one with mark of slaanesh and lash of submission! Imagine how irritating having one of those flying about moving your own units about!

I've got two winged princes in my 1k list...

Daemonic possession on your vindicators is a must. -1 bs isnt significant for template weapons. make room for these upgrades.

my friend ran a list similar to this but with 2 rhino plasmas and a winged daemon prince.

he kicked himself when i rendered his vindicators useless every turn.

Good point... i guess it would be a waste not to give the vindies daemonic possesion, but there's just not enough points! I guess im gonna have to drop another rhino or some men in the plasma squad.

Is the DP fine with just wings and warptime?
