can a deffkopta screen a battlewagon for cover even though they are flying?

Ios

Provided the copta covers more than half of the vehicle if you look at itfrom the shooting units line of sight. Yes.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

And, just as a general tip, these kinds of questions ('can x give cover to y') usually can't be answered effectively here. The answer is almost universally 'get down and look at it from the firers perspective'.

Unless you were asking whether the deffkopta being a jetbike had an effect on the situation, to which the answer is no. It can cover anything just fine.

As a note for this particular setup:
It's possible, but it'll take a lot of koptas and be horribly inefficient. Invest in a kff and let the koptas get back to turn 1 assaulting.

In normal circumstances, no. The flying stand is too tall.

A big wagon with the turret on, maybe

If you get the different heights of flying stands then possibly.

ya well my question was due to the fact they are mounted on flying stands....
but kff is a no in my list because my HQ's are a necessity for the deffwing

There is no 'screening' rule that would allow anyone to judge without physically looking at the models on the board.

If the battlewagon is obscured from the point of view of the firing model, then it is obscured.
