Do they make 21 Primarchs, or is Omegon just counted alongside Alpherius primarch-wise? Is Omegon one of the lost primarchs?

Alpharius/Omegon is counted as one.

Alpharius and Omegon is the absolute worst bit of fluff ever:

The emperor is chatting with a trusted advisor showing him the Baby Primarchs "look I made 20 Primarchs that I will make uber-badasses out of!"
The advisor says" I see 21 Tubes here, all with babies in them."
"Oh", the Emperor says; "these two are twins you see, so they only count as one!"

Ack! grumble grumble grumble.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

No matter what I read, I can't make heads or tails of any of their fluff.

So...I guess GW succeeded on that point?

But yeah, they count as one Primarch, no one knows what the 2 lost Primarches were/are.

I think I can help clear up some additional confusion. The reason why they counted 20 is because few people actually knew that Alpharius was a twin and thus did not know of Omegon's existence. That is the reason why only Alpharius was assassinated and not Omegon as well. Omegon would always disguise himself as an ordinary marine and blend in with the rest of the army.

Technically he is the last living human primarch if you do not count the ones that went awal or are half dead.

They have hints of it in the books. But I say there are 21 primarchs. But I like the lore of GW confusing and entertaining. O.o

Yup, you've been nailed by the oldest trick in the alpha legion book: MAKING NO SENSE!!!

Seriously, CCW & pistol, human statline, 6+ armor and Furious Charge...for six points per model? Seriously, what are they, half-orks??? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

Only the Chapter knows there are 2 Primarchs (and probably the Emperor?), Omegon leads the Stealth Company. Now do to the Alpha Legion tactics, Omegon often plays the part of Alpharius while Alpharius is off doing his own missions.

All primarchs have a flaw thanks to the warp travel.

If the Emperor made Apharius and Omegon as twins... you'd think he'd tell the other primarchs. I'd like to know if I had a long lost sibling too. Especially in the situation where his faction is my enemy.

You'd think the Emperor would wave the good boys over before the whole infighting thing started, and maybe whispered something about his other forgotten son. Might have come in handy for Guilliman...

^ Maybe he did. Most history from that time is warped/deleted/etc, and I doubt that king smurf would demoralize his own troops by saying that their enemy had two primarchs and not just one.

@ Mekanobsamael - why'd you bring up the cultist profile from that really, really old WD?

Also, it'd be cool if Omegon wasn't useless like Angron and all the other traitor primarchs and was actually still out there, fighting. As for loyal primarchs.. either dead or hiding.. or dark eldar.

When you consider the Mary Sueness of the Ultrasmrufs, morale is a non-issue.

I mean, if they can watch Calgar get his entire retinue killed for no good reason, and not batt an eyebrow, I'm sure that finding out that the guy who they're going after has a bit of an identity crisis won't be enough to stop them.

Leading the stealth company in a legion of stealth marines. Always seemed daft to me, how uber stealthy must Omegon's marines be to be better than the rest of the chapter? Hide and seek must be fun...

You could assume that the warp travel split Alpherius into two people but that isn't written anywhere in the fluff.

On a related note, how did the reunion with the Empror go for these two?

Alpherius: "Oh cool! Hi Dad! I'm so glad I can finally meet you!"

Emporer: "And I am glad to be reunited with you to son. Now where is your brother?"

Omegon from behind a bush: "BOO!"

Emprorer: "Gah! Gak! Son of a Grox..." *Emporer clutches his arm falls down and turns pale*

Alperius: "Um, guys? Our dad might be having a heart attack..."

Actually it's mentioned in Legion that Alpharius and Omegon are two bodies sharing the same soul. Quite how that works I don't know, but the rest of the Horus Heresy novels, particularly A Thousand Sons emphasizes that Primarchs are primarily psychic entities in organic bodies something like how the C'tan are contained within their necrodermis sheaths.

It's hinted that Alpharius may not have been killed at all. So that makes 2 primarchs for 1 chapter. Perhaps the Emperor just wanted to have blackjack?

Fixed. As for the bit about chapters I wrote, as much as I can gather a legion would have up to 100,000 marines + vehicle crews etc. Can anyone give me the truth on that?

Where is that at in the book? I am intrigued and would like to read over it again.
