Obviously the Nightbringer is a better combatent with all his special rules and stats...but iv noticed an increase in the number of people who choose the deciever. I can't decide what one to put in my new necron army....any sugestions wld be appriciated.

Deceiver, as his repositioning of troops at the start can be key, and you dont have to get him in combat with things if you dont want to - very very handy

However only worth it at higher point games; in lower points they both are too many non-necron points...

You are only allowed to bring one, and unless you are tailoring to a specific army that the nightbringer might work well in, the deciever is usually your best bet. The nightbringer makes for a good counter charge unit for a defensive setup, but usually the deciever fills all the same roles well enough and has more tricks to boot...and is less points put towards non-phase out units.

11,100 pts, 7,000 pts
++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die.

Remember you can use the Deceivers ability and run, or even use Deceive on one squad then assault another - as it is not a psychic shooting attack.

That increases its utility still further over the 'bringer.

The first paragraph (and the paragraphs title) of page 27 say you can only have one C'Tan
