i've noticed that over the last couple of days that dakka will just randomly log me out (sometimes in the same session!). i usually start out my visits to dakka by going to my subscribed threads and opening new windows for each of the recent threads that has unread messages. routinely now (not always but commonly), i'll somehow log out in between those windows. i haven't changed any privacy setting on internet explorer in a few months so i don't see that as a problem. i'm also not logging in from another computer during this time to dakka so that isn't logging me out. i also routinely check the "remember me" button as i have for years. any ideas?

Nothing has changed but there is a known bug which can sometimes muck up your settings. Clear all your dakka cookies, then log in again and that should resolve it.

I have the same exact problem. I've tried clearing the Dakka cookies, without any results... What do I do?

I restarted the site a couple of times in the last few days to do tweaks and new releases. If you were signed in at the time then that would have broken things for you potentially.

Do this:
1. click logout
2. navigate away from dakka - make sure no dakka stuff is open in the background
3. clear your cookies
4. restart your browser

and that should refresh it and sort it out.

as the OP, my problem seems to have resolved itself without my intervention. one thing i have noticed is that if you click on a link to dakka from google's search engine, it will open up the link and log you out of the site at the same time. do you google dakka links alot?
