I really like the look of the possessed pieces, but I have no desire to make possessed marines. I've got the entire sprue from the chaos battleforce and I've got those five marines, so....should I convert them?

I was thinking they'd look good with the possessed legs and heads, maybe the torsos too and then just put a one handed bolter in his right hand and a possessed CCW on his left.
The back packs.....I'm not sure. Those wings are nice, but they might be better for conversions on something like a chaos lord... I'll just use the ones that look half normal.

They could be count-as Chosen marines, or just regular marines. Or maybe raptors, if I use the wings.

Use them as chosen and count the possese weapons as power weapons for them I think that would be a neat idea. also I like the sound of saving the wings for a lord That would look cool. Also the raptor idea is good but that make them supper spendy IMO. when you get done with them you should post pictures here for us to check out.

This is not only totally doable, but almost expected of a CSM army. Chaos Marines brag about mutations like a biker does tatoos!
If you see ten CSM standing in formation and nobody has at least one extra part then they must have just come over to the dark side.

now you got me thinking, I'll dig out my squad of Possessed for a photo op. All conversions from before GW made the Possessed models made with plastic CSM and Tyranid bits

I remember making my possessed out of khorne berzerkers and tyranid bits. Sadly I left them on top of my car and went driving so they are gone now(rest in piece little dudes, you were my first conversions)

I would spread it out over your entire army as much as possible, maybe limit it to unit champions etc.

I wish I would have done that, Possessed suck horribly. I did use the leftover bits to convert some Chosen however
