Well my Raven Guard are nearly fully collected now and have a few battles under their collective belts. However, my painting has been woefully behind, as I've only finished ONE model up to this point, merely to set my paint scheme. So, in the hopes that the scrutiny of others will spur me on to further feats of artistic ability... I open this thread.

Unfortunately, my camera is dead right now, or I would show you my lone warrior painted to tabletop quality. (I'm new, so go easy once he shows up here.)

In the meantime, (till tomorrow), I've been wondering. I need to create a Jump Pack Librarian, and want the model to be sufficiently badass for a primary HQ within my army. How would you all reccomend I create such a model? I don't really like any of the standard librarian models currently... so I was actually thinking of taking a Templar's Emperor's Champion and sticking a jump pack on it, painting it Ultramrines blue, and gaining an awesome looking dude out of the process. Has anyone seen such a conversion? Does it sound like a good idea? What would you all do?

Also, I promise to get Mr. Tactical marine up here tomorrow morning, as well as a full shot of my army in all it's primed, Ebay-built, glory.

Here he is:

This guy is the first one I spent a legitamite amount of time on getting the details right, even trying a wee bit of highlighting and drybrushing. As you can tell though, it's a first try.
