My buddy and I, we both play 40k, and fantasy. We were just trying to find if there is anyone between Jasper and B'ham, Alabama, to start playing with. We are both able to drive to events. So...just drop me a line and lets get the game on.

Hi there, me and several other people hear all the time about a bunch of people that play in the greater birmingham area. BUT we haven't had the fortune to meet anyone so far. We actually stretch from Birmingham to over west of Jasper past Winfeild and into Miss. Not many people, just scattered. We are all in the getting back into the game phase so let me know if your still looking for games!

Your best bets are either at Legions in Cahaba Heights or Bud's Place in Leeds, to find games of either 40K of WHFB.

My brother and I live in Alabama. However, we mostly play up at Dicehead in TN. We occasionally play at Legion, but we travel more than we don't. We are a part of a gaming group called Hammer of Vulcan, though we're the only tournament-goers. The other members like to play Dark Heresy, Space Hulk or just hang out on the weekends. However, the two of us travel to Mississippi, Tennessee and all over Alabama to play. I've heard about the spot in Leeds. Haven't traveled over there yet though. If you guys go, give us a batrep or a store review or something

I really enjoy Legion at Cahaba Heights. They have a great stock and will order and hold something for you if they don't have it. They have events for WM/H and 40k every month. If you attend you get a 20% discount on related product for up to 3 weeks after the event. They are also trying to get more players who are interested in Fantasy.

You can usually get pick up games on Sundays and sometimes Saturdays but it's a bit less likely because it's football season. They also have about six-eight tables and more than enough terrain for them.

The staff is very friendly and doesn't try to shove stuff down your throat or anything like that, but they aren't very knowledgeable on 40k or fantasy, so they rely on their customers for that.

I know this is thread is pretty old, but I agree with the comment on Hammer of Vulcan. I've even tried contacting the head coordinator for the group to see if he could hook me up with the people that play 40k or fantasy in the group (One way or another). I'm not to into the RT thing, and am looking for a more Table-top oriented group.
