I think I want to do an IG army, but there are some ork models I really like. I don't want to make a full on ork army - what kind of IG army would have blood axe mercenaries/allies? the only models I'd like to somehow jam in are a few nobs, maybe some boyz, and killa kanz (if possible).

I'm pretty flexible on the guard background, as long as the proxied orks make sense.

Very Old Codex - The Orks could have some human mercenary allies. But them days are long gone. So now no Ork/IG Ally Armies.

Really the only way would be to include them as a counts as figure such as Ork Nobs counting as Ogres.

Oh I know. Like I said, they'd be proxies. I'm just wondering if any IG/traitor regiments are specifically known for using ork mercenaries.

I'm also not sure what the killa kanz would count as... sentinals, probably.

Other Units - You could proxy aWarboss as Col Straken -their stats are not that different.

Wierdboyz as Sanctioned Pyskers. Warphead as a Primaris,

Grot Artillery as Hvy weapon teams

Ork Boyz as Penal Legion

Ork Looted vehicles should be easy

You could twist it the other way and have some Imperial
Guard as Advisors - maybe your "boyz with shootas are Guardsmen",

I can't recall much fluff with Ork Mercs but it woudl be quite interesting..........as would a proper army list
