My entry post will probably get lost in the sea of others, but I'll give it a shot.

I'm not sure why I'm here, and probably you don't either. I do not know much about this game. I am too poor to afford a single model, and the only one I have is one I found in a drainpipe, and it has no head. Or legs. Or backpack. But a spacemarine nevertheless.

I dream about owning the biggest Spacemarine. It will be larger than life, and with a massive heavy bolter. But I can't afford it. So meh.

Just a question, what is an acceptable point amount for a well balanced spacemarine army? Just so I can plan for my

WORLD DOMINATION MWAHAHAHAHA!

Anyway, I hope I become an awesome member in this community.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to Dakka. Personally I like the 1500 point range it allows you enough points to have a good balance or emphasze assault, gunline etc. I found 1250 a little to small and 1850 can be too much for casual games but is the standard for most competitions.

Welcome to dakka.

I find 2500 (what alot of american tourneys seem based around too big.

1500 makes for more limited games.

1750-1850 lets you pick what you want but still keep lists focused.
