Is Abaddon an Eternal Warrior? It doesn't specify in the codex.... thanks

Rule of thumb: in order for a unit to benefit from it, it must be written in the unit's codex entry.

Yes, it's an effect of the Mark of Chaos Ascendant, which has the exact same effects as Eternal Warrior, but he dosen't actually have the EW rule.

yup, it's effectively the same thing even though it doesn't use the name. if they do come out with some future piece of wargear that negates eternal warrior, he'll be immune to it unless it's definition is descriptive.

Daemonhunter & Witchhunter force weapons negate Eternal Warrior as does the Space Wolf psychic power Jaws of the World Wolf. I'm sure there are other things as well that negate immunity to instant death.

Well, jaws doesnt ignore eternal warrior ... Youre just removed from play, thats not suffering instant death.

DH/WH force weapons don't negate eternal warrior either as they don't inflict instant death (which eternal warrior negates), they kill the model outright (if memory serves). similar but not the same thing.

Yes, i believe it is "slain outright" or something like that, no ID was ever inflicted so having eternal warrior or not doesnt matter.

The result is the same. That was my point.
