I was thinking about the rule, and it's basically

"if you can see it, he has it" (der.)

So, my thought is this:

If he doesn't have a real one (i.e. a power sword instead he has a chainsword.)

wrap it in some papaer, and write 'power sword on it'

you've now got a power sword, yes?

Or simply give the chainsword blue edging, or something else slightly more aesthetically pleasing than a piece of paper....

You also wouldnt have a "power sword" anyway, you would have a "piece of paper with the words "power sword" written on it"
