I have been harsh about the Iranians of late. I wish to take all of my words back, they are indeed the pinacle of civilisation.

They have seen the light!

THE HORROR!

Allah Akbar!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

In all seriousness do they not have better things to worry about? Declaring Jihad on crap 80's hairstyles seems a bit bonkers to me although it does conjure up some wonderful images (none of which will be comited to paper) of Allah and Mohammed sitting down to discuss when an acceptable early 90's set of curtains becomes the emo flick of the Infidel.

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

So does that mean every 80s early 90s movie, music video, or whatever i banned from Iran also or do they just blur it out? The latter would be pretty funny to see.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

I liked the bit about the 'Modesty and Veil Festival'. It's their Glastonbury! Early rumours are that Radiohead are playing.

Oh Iran. They want the rest of the world to take them seriously, then their nutball leaders go off and talk about how "scantily clad women cause earthquakes" and "Mullets are sinful".

They've also banned neckties. I think Iran is rapidly becoming a model for us all to follow.

Did it occur to anyone else that getting together to talk about how we're all so modest isn't really very modest.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

I have always been one for doing everything to try and the countries in that area settle down and get a stable government but after this I am really starting to give up hope. Does Iran really haveothing better to spend their money on than policing people hair.

Unfortunately both of these are very true.
