I posted this in the wrong section before, my apologies.

Finally have some pictures of the first coat of purple.

I tested out gold on the horses armour but it just didn't turn out right, so i'm currently painting a coat of Liche Purple on the horses.

The silver is Boltgun Metal, which i'm going to drybush Burning Gold over and then do a Gryphonne Sepia wash over.

All banners will be pink. I'm currently painting them with a base of Warlock Purple, then another coat but 70:30 of Warlock Purple:Bleached Bone. I do this a third time, then use a wash of Black Ink.

Fur coats are done with a base of Chaos Black, then a 70:30 mix of Chaos Black:Boltgun Metal. Then a drybrush of Shadow Grey is applied. For the rest of the coat, a base of Bleached Bone and Black Ink wash is applied.

I've forgotten how I did that captains face.

If anyone can give me tips on how to paint marauders skin that would be appreciated.

The Hound was painted with a Brown, I forget which one. Also looking for tips on painting Hounds.

Got an update on the Knights.

I'm using my better camera this time, the previous pictures were taken with my 6.0mp camera due to my 10.0mp camera being on charge.

Painted the rest of the armour, the horses fur, tounge and straps, along with the chainmail and the base.
I think it's coming along nicely.

I noticed while painting that i've run out of half my paints, so tomorrow when I head off to Sydney for a couple of days i'm going to pick up new paints so I can get on with this project. For now i'm just bringing up the other 3 Knights (the 4th is broken, and I have no glue at the moment - buying some of that too) to the same standard as this Knight.

Buying some more paints tomorrow so I can actually finish them off !







These are only the base colours, no highlights or washes have been applied yet.

Good watching for more. Any advise would be great (:

Im loving these, its a pretty great colour scheme I think what you need though, to improve the painting a bit, and make it seem less flat, is to get a couple of washes on them. Badab black and devlan mud are pretty good for shading.

Thanks I was already onto the Badab Black, Just getting my other paints for base colours ! Needing Bleached Bone and a Skull White. And whatever else strikes my fancy, then i'll buy that too !

I've never used Devlan Mud, I'll get some of that and test it out. It seems like a wash I could use on my metallics, such as the chainmail on the horse.

Cheers, there won't be an update for a day or so. Needing paints, and in Sydney at the moment. As soon as I get back home it's parties for a few days Then back onto the workhorse for Knights (:

Heading to the shops now to buy paints, hopefully going to pick up either a Chariot or a lord on Daemonic Stead as well. If not either then probably just a blister pack of a lord that I can find. Not too into the model for the normal undivided champion though (the one holding the two axes standing with one foot on the rock). I have him in 40k version, unfortunately not the greatest model.

Shall have to see what I can find !

Lol, I'm pretty sure there's a company that makes 28mm gorilla miniatures. They look more tau-like I think but they'd be cool. Lol.

Nice stuff! However for the metals, use a blue or green wash. Makes them look magical and other-worldish

Got another update.

Applied the Bleached Bone, and the two washes (Badab Black and Devlan Mud).

Remembered I need a gold, so i'm going to look for a nice gold that fits tomorrow, and then some highlights will come along just after, along with a few more washes.

The base the Knight is currently on is one I randomly made today while waiting for dry time on the paint. I'm rather proud of it. Just one problem... I can't make them as good again :(
The Knight is only blue tacked to the base for now.

Very late update.
Unfortunately, my camera has carked it.
I'm looking into buying one within the next week, but untill then no photos :(
I've currently completed the painting 4/5 Knights, and i've also finished painting all of the Hounds, and tested painting a Marauder.

Hope to get this camera soon to show you all the photos, as i'm sure just text bores you a lot.
