Just brainstorming with some ideas for keeping DoC somewhat competitive even if their glory days are over. The Horror block is nice because it takes away the need to buy a wizard for tons of points. They get 2D6 + (1/6) power dice to use on their 3 damage spells and have +4 to cast. The Bloodletters with the Juggernauts will do the frontal fighting while the Hounds try to flank. The Flamers can support in melee but mainly try to march + shoot down harassment units and other light units that would be troublesome. The Fiends and the Masque run down war machines and such while the other units are busy elsewhere. The Skulltaker is capable of destroying most things single handedly while the BSB is also a pretty tough nut to crack. Since there are no Greater Daemons in the list, enemy Doomwheels, WLCs and lines of Cannons and Bolt Throwers can't true los their way into an easy victory.

Heroes
-Skulltaker, Juggernaut: 200p
-Herald of Khorne, Juggernaut, Firestorm Blade, Armour of Khorne, BSB: 215p
-Masque of Slaanesh: 90p

for the point level, i'd say that is a fairly @$$ kicking list honestly. The horrors arent effected by miscasts like normal wizards, so the main disadvantage of magic is cancelled, and quite accurately, Skulltaker can kill anything he likes.

I am curious to see how the Bloodletter do. I can see with the new rules they just became much more efficient, but the army you are running now is a little less swift than what you had previously been dealing with. Fiends also look like they got better, since they gain stomp! although having them run around by themselves, isnt that a bit risky?

otherwise, good list. Would like to see how it performs.

15000 - Tyranids
4000 - Skaven
1500 - Dark Eldar
2500 - Daemons
1500 - Necrons

The other good thing about the Horrors is that they can be brought into close combats (Gift of Chaos is at its best when they're in the middle of the enemy) alongside the more hitty DoC units 5 wide 6 deep meaning that it's doubtful anyone will outrank the DoC side after casualties. That means that enemies won't be stubborn and will lose combats and turn tail and run just like before instead of sticking around untill the bitter end.
