Yes, list one is very points effective, but not very interesting.
List 2 is a little less points effective, but not very interesting.

but I'll play.....

CSM list 1000
2x 175pts - Daemon Prince (Nurgle, Warp Time, Wings)
3x 150pts - Obilterator Cult (2x Obilterator)
1x 125tps - Thousand ons Squad (5x Thousand Sons, Doom Bolt)
1x 75pts - CSM Squad (5x CSM)

Which is boring.

Really I'd like to see more of a Legion specific 1000 point.
Or something that isn't just rehashed math.
Or an description of how you intend to use the units.
Or background in conjunction with the list.
Something a bit more creative.
(-removes the mean hat-)

well due to the Legions being dissolved into Space Pirates, the overall use of MoN I personally use to represent bionics and the increased toughness and FNP of the Iron Warriors. With The Bike list I could swap out the Predator for a vindicator to make it more Iron Warrior-ish, its hard to do a really specific legion per se, unless you play World Eaters, Death Guard, Emperors Children, or 1k Sons.

Not very imaginative, are ye? Plague Marines with Plasma guns and a Lash sorcerer?

The nastiest list all depends on who your fighting, how they play, and all else like that, but..... I will attempt to make a pretty "nasty" list for basically everything.

Chaos Lord, MoT, Deathscreamer (Feeling adventurous) 145 pts. 145 pts.
2u 10 CSM Champion, IoCG Rhinos 420 pts. 565pts.
7 Havocs, IoCG, 4 Famers, Rhino 170pts. 735pts.
2 Obliterators 150 pts. 885pts.
5 raptors, meltagun 110 pts. 995 pts.

995 pts.

Shouldn't really need much explaining: Put the Lord with the Havocs, get them close as fast as possible, use the obliterators and Raptors to Deepstrike to kill tanks (Raptors are a point sink, to tell the truth, could write them out for something else, though not much available for that amount of points). Have the CSM units camp objectives if there are any.

I don't like how it only has two units of CSMs, but the look on peoples faces when you tell them that a heavy support unit just ran over his termies (usually run them without the lord, but a champ with power sword) is priceless.

Edited because of me blasted eyesight.

Nastiest =/= fluffiest.

Toned down fzorgle + obliterators probably still has it.

I'm a little iffy on Demon weapons, I find psychic powers usually give you more bang for your buck, plus a DP will add muscle to that combo. Here's another alternate list;

Demon Price, MoN, Wings, Warptime - 175pts
8x Plague Marines, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino - 239pts
8x Plague Marines, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino - 239pts
5x Chaos Bikers, MoN, 2x Plasma Guns - 245pts
Predator, HB sponsons - 100pts

Total: 998pts

The DP and the bikers provide rapid anti-armor and close combat destruction, while the plague marines lock down objectives, with the predator providing mobile infantry support to the plague marines by putting suppressive fire on swarms and harassing light vehicles and transports.

What happens to Bikers if they take the mark of nurgle?

Bikers with toughness 6 are hard to take down, especially in small pt games.
I'd opt for the 2nd list with the Bikers. Should be fun to play.

Eye of Terror... I think

Whats with the lists with daemon weapons? When have daemon weapons ever been good in this addition? Why take a S4 Daemon weapon on a weak lord when I can take a DP or a special character thats far superior? Or even a sorcorer thats got some nasty tricks?

The answer is fluff or character, both things I would not include in a "nasty" or "tornament" list. But very fun and practical in say friendly or casual games.

My list would be 2 DP with lash, and either 2 Defilers or vindicators. Fill in the rest with your prefference as that combo right there is going to ruin alot of peopls days as is at 1000pts.

Daemon Princes in their weakest form are usually Strength 5 if I am not mistaken. If taken without a mark, they make the wielder Strength 6...I think those are pretty good results personally.

Negative. They are S6. And the regular daemon weapon still only makes you strength 5, costs 40pts, and theres a possibility your going to hurt yourself with it.

Well, CSM lists at 1000 pts seem a bit underpowered.
They are getting increasingly better at larger pt limits.

HQ- Minimum Chaos Lord
HQ- Minimum Chaos lord
Troops- 10 CSM 2xFlamers, rhino-195
10 CSM 2x Melta, Rhino -205
Fast- 6 Raptors with 2x Meltas-170
Heavy- Defiler 150

Exactly 1000. I like minimum chaos lords as a filler unit, and if you don't want to use Princes, they can work okay.

I used this list to table a SoB player 2 games in a row over this weekend:

DP - MoN, Wings, Warptime

Chaos Chosen x5 (3 plasma / 1 flamer) - I know these could have easily been meltas, but I wanted the rapid fire shots and template

2x7 Plague Marine Squads, each had Champ w/ PF, Plasma, Flamer - I know these could have easily been meltas, but I wanted the rapid fire shots and template

2 Rhinos - Havoc ML and Demonic pos.
