In Imperial Armour Apocalypse II, there are several units which you would expect to see in regular non-Apoc games. These units all have the statement:-

"A ........ is a ........ choice in a ........ army"

e.g: A Vulture Gunship is a Fast Attack choice in an Imperial Guard army.

Is this statement meant to convey that you can use these units in regular non-Apoc games, obviously with your opponent's permission? And please no replies along the lines of "It's Apoc related - work it out for yourself..."

Thanks,

Valk

Yeah, that would be the idea. You would need permission to use the imperial armoury books though.

Yeah, you can use them in regular 40k. Check with a TO first though, most tournaments don't let them in.

Yep, most units from IA apoc are usable in 40K.

Note that the "opponents permission" is now explicitly removed.

As MSP says, there are very few tournaments that would allow it.

Opponent's permission is implicit for all games anyway.

This.

I've never understood why IA was "Opponents permission only", but Codex: Necrons wasn't. If I don't want to play against your necrons, what are you gonna do, kneecap me?

Exactly, but IA is no longer a special case.

And OP - the Vulture is a Heavy Support choice.
