couldn't you have just said yes, gwar? wouldn't that have been easier?

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

But what if the answer isn't yes?

And it's better to direct someone to the page ref, that way they learn more, I am still right and GW don't sue for giving out rules!

And funnily enough, while I did go double check the paragraph number after I posted, that was from memory! xD

so it can fight back then? because his unit cant actualy damage the walker so they would be locked in combat indefinately if left alone

In this case, the unit would be locked in combat, unable to hurt the walker.

As for can it fight back, like I said, Page 73 of the BRB answers your question!

No, because 'some guy on the internet told me it was okay' is not valid support for a rules question. Knowing what page it's on, is.

So presumably immobilized means the walker's legs are no longer working, or have collapsed. I can understand a dreadnought being able to fight back as it still has arms, but what could a sentinel do? Does it start nutting the enemy, or maybe the driver jumps out and starts punching the attackers?

Yeah, it's allowed... seems a bit odd though IRL!

Then its a great thing "That doesnt make sense." and "It doesnt seem like it should work that way." are not valid rules arguments.

Be sure to note that last paragraph "Squadrons of Walkers". And that how Immobilized is a different result if there's a pair or trio in the unit, that is, a squadron.

Immobilized might just mean damaged balance, making it kick about wildly to avoid falling if it tries moving. It might have one leg frozen but still be able to use the other, spinning about and perhaps hitting something.

As for the locked in combat, it would also make sense that an enemy can break off if all they're fighting is an immobilized walker... but the rules don't say so.
