Dunno what to get because iron clad has more armour but venerable has more WS and BS

Venerable hands down. I think there is nothing more worth its points than a venerable dreadnought.

Venerable lets you reroll the damage table against yourself, no? That's why people like it.

Venerable lets you re-roll damage results, and has higher WS and BS values, whereas Ironclads have access to unique weapons and better armour. Remember the best ranged weapon an Ironclad can have is a Hurricane Bolter, so if you want high strength ranged weapons, use the Venerable, however, if you want good CC abilities then go for the Ironclad, but it all depends on your style of play.

Well Blood Angels use a hard hitting initial strike, so I would recommend an Ironclad in a Drop Pod. Or you could go for a Furiso or Death Company Dreadnought.

Any weapons in particular you'd suggest?

Somewhere.

If you're going Blood Angels then you can't have either a Venerable or an Ironclad. Blood Angels have neither. You have Fruioso, Furioso Librarian, Death Company and Standard Dreads.

Well I recommend the Plasma Cannon or Lascannon. For the Ironclad I use the Chainfist and extra CCW.

Venerable, no contest whatsoever. A good load out is the standard SW Autocannon and Missle pod launcher instead of a close combat weapon. (For covering fire so my blood claws can run in)

Not all that wander are lost...... unfortunately, i'm lost.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Not a venerable dread, if your looking for something shooty, go with a normal dread, if you use auto cannons and plasma cannons your shots are twin linked or template weapons. If you are looking for something that is devastating in close combat I highly recommend the Ironclad, I run three of them.

Go for a furioso, cause as Jon Garrett Mentioned, you cannot have Ironclad or Venerables in a Blood Angels army. If you fill up your elite slots already, get a regular nought and if you go nuts with Death company, get a DC dreadnought in a 'pod and go nuts

Whichever BA Dread can take the Blood Talons? I think that's what they're called anyway whichever it is that can take those use that one they chop through almost everything.

Honestly I think each of the dreadnoughts has it's own charms. None of them are really "better" imo because they serve different roles, and each one is as well balanced as the codex gets, I think.

If you are fighting vehicles, or need to do a lot of melee, you want a Ironclad. His close combat weapons are great, and the AV13 and ironclad assault launchers ensure he gets there and hits hard.

If you have extra points to spare, you want a Venerable. His stats are great (I'm not as crazy about the re-roll) but he does cost nearly 70% more.

If you need a all-around painbringer, you want a regular dreadnought. Maybe the best unit in the codex for the points, in my opinion.
