I was having a browse through the Cryx page on everyone's favourite wiki, battlecollege, and i couldn't help noticing that Cryx have loads of really focus efficient models. With a combination of the Skarlock for 3 'free' focus, war witches for 1 'free' focus each, the withershadow combine for free upkeeps and 'jacks like the seether and deathjack that provide their own focus, you can realy keep the focus levels high for some heavy boosting and/or casting. My question is this: do you think a competitive list could be constructed entirely around focus efficiency and focus efficient models?

Thanks for any answers in advance,

Akatori

Probably. You should also look out for battlegroup wide spells such as Mortenebra's Terminal Velocity.

Yes, you can make a very focus efficient list with eSkarre for example.

eSkarre's Seas of Fate provides the core efficiency for your battle group. Deathjack and Seethers exploit this further by getting the most out of their already free focus.

Warwitch Sirens also help exploit this, particularly in conjunction with Black Spot and a ranged jack like the Leviathan. And if you don't end up needing to boost at all, you can get up to four shots with a single Focus point!

eSkarre herself has additional focus efficiency with her Blood Trade and Life Trader abilities, though don't go overboard with them or you'll kill yourself.

I'm from the future. The future of space

I think Asphyxious and both Denegras can run fine with this stuff as well. The sirens marshal* the arc nodes so they can run, the seether and DJ do the heavy hitting and the caster is left with lots of focus for lots of blasting power. Should work for the Coven as well.

*by marshal, I mean give them focus

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
