Hey dakkites I was wondering if chimeras are worth the money. I am looking for something under 35$ thanks, Lucas

Imperial guard Chimeras are probably worth it. (that is if you meant the Imperial guard ones, could be confusing it with another game) they have a lot of firepower

If you are looking for something for under $35, then I guess don't buy a chimera? Or maybe, buy a chimera from a discounter?
You're going to have to be a bit more descriptive.

I use alot of Chimeras in my army, all of which use autocannons from the ForgeWorld rules. That gives them a nice long range punch that isn't far from troops to support them. It looks like the current price on the Chimera is about $35 from the GW store still. I'd say they make a fairly decent light tank that is certainly worth it in points. I don't know if that is the unit your army needs right now as I don't know what it consists of. If you have enough troops, then I say the Chimera is the way to go personally.

If you are playing Imp Guard then you WILL use chimera's.

You could always scratch build. There are templates out there on the web.

They're great to put IG veterans in. From there you can just have the squad roll on up and melta/plasma whatever at close range.
