Ok, where I have been playing this has been a hot button topics, If you choose a Deff Dread as a troop choice due to the Benefit of a big mek, Can it claim a objective Regardless of it being a Vehicle? If you do have information regarding this, can you provide a link or a page number support it. I myself don't think it is possible, but I am still quite a bit unsure on this one.

No, it cannot. Page 90, Scoring units. Even as a Troops unit, a vehicle is not a scoring unit, unless it has a special rule saying that it is.

Don is correct; with the further information the the Big Mek provides no such Special Rule.

The Only way I know of currently for a vehicle to count as scoring is if it was a Transport(dedicated or otherwise) and has a unit of troops inside. Of course it is still the troops that are scoring but the range to the Objective is measured to the vehicle's Hull(making it effectively the scoring unit).

There is currently one (that I know of) scoring vehicle, the Dark Angel Ravenwing Bike Squadron Landspeeder. It's scoring because it's codex says it is a scoring unit. Just like the Marine codex says that Sternguard (an Elite choice) are a scoring unit under certain circumstances.
