This is just a cool little bit of luck that I ran into while playing a teams 1000pt battle, here is what happened:

I had my 20 boyz running across the map to help my warboss and nobz who were assaulting. I had 2 rokkits on boyz. IG sentinel was 20 inches away. fired two rokkits at it, rolled a six to hit on 1 the other missed. Then i rolled a 6 to wound and destroyed the sentinel. the IG player was pissseeedd, because he was going to attack my teamate's ripper swarms and gene stealers.

..... dude that is so amazing!! A whole sentinel with one rocket and you didn't even roll right!? Man you are for sure owning that IG player.... I clicked this thread because i thought it would be some use of time to defend a fellow IG player but here that BS is.

Man, if you got that excited over whacking a sentinel, you're going to be over the moon when you actually pop a real tank.

Speaking of dumb luck against sentinals, I ran the chenkov horde list in a combat patrol tourney just to be silly. I came up against a player with two scout sentinals and two grenadevets in chimearas. I had no special or heavy weapons, but I DID have the commander's bolt pistol! Blam. 6, 6, 6 apparently the pilot took a bolt pistol right between the eyes. Insert clever Chekov's gun pun here. Chenkov's pun?

And I tabled a necron army turn one... So there!

This one time, at wargames camp, this girl stuck a daemonette... nevermind.

Reminds me of the scene in saving private ryan where the leitenent is firing his pistol at a Panzer tank and it blows up... That may have been due to the fighter flying over but you never know (didn't hear any bombs or rockets soooo...)

On the topic of killing vehicles, I killed an eldar wave serpant with a scout sergeant with melta bombs. It hadn't moved but it was still hard to blow up that lump of paper mache

If icin' a Sentinel is amazing pwnage, I guess my Predator Annihilator crew are bonafide war heroes.

They've iced about fifty.

Just a real quick question, what str are lightning claws?

Just about half the game doesn't have high enough str to take on a armored sentinel with out power weapons or grenades.

Which also means I can easily counter a guys Lightning claw Termies.... YAY! Hurrah for rule that says "When assaulting a walker, you attack front armor"

Got pretty lucky against a chaos daemons player. He had 2 soulgrinders in his army. 1st one deepstrikes and in my shooting phase shot a MM at it which was 23" away and made it explode. Next one came in and I did the same thing to it from about 20" away. Long range MM FTW!!!!

Turn 1 lascannoned a few LR's before. Pretty lucky shots.

I killed a Deamon Prince with a squad of Lasguns. Do I win now?
