So a good chunk of my gaming is against Black Templar and CSM, while the templar are a mild annoyance, but the CSM with their Defilers made my life a living hell, any tips on how to deal with that and the lashes from the Demon Princes?

I am running Orks pretty hardcore. The trick is we are running a HUGE board 8 x 8 board, so my lootas have no chance of hitting him with them and their 72 inch range.

A Battlewagon full of Nobz would be pretty unconcerned with a Defiler. And anything else in the CSM Codex, if they get the charge.

Ninja'd again!

Anyway, deffkoptas can be a real pain in the butt, if they have rokkit launchas (Do they come standard? I don't play orks). On occasion, they've killed my dreads, so...yeah. Don't even attempt to assault it. It has like 5 attacks (three base+two for each additional CCW) which can be terrible for you.

Ya, I have just had a hellish time with them, since he has 3 of the bastard Defilers and 2 Demon princes to lash my forces back.

Reallying playing on the right size board will fix alot of things. Just dont use all of the table. 8X8 is just really unfair for some armies at non apov point lvls.

Just hop your stuff into a Wagon, it'll solve a lot of your problems. And if the Prince is in range of your forces with fzorgle he's in range of your Lootas as well. Daemon Princes vehemently disagree with being shot by Lootas!

I don't claim to be an export on Orks, but a mess of Deffkoptaz wiv Buzzsawz should be able to reach (turbo bvoost) and eliminate the defilers fairly handily?

Why are you playing on an 8x8 board? The table generally should be 6x4, so you have a good amount of maneuvering room, but are still close enough to have stuff happen. An 8 foot table with Orks on it just means the boyz can't accomplish anything.

Lootas will do the trick, and a shokk attack gun might work too. Also, a deffrolla battlewagon can mulch a defiler. First off play on a table that isn't so stacked though.

6x4 is a luxury for me. My kitchen table is 2.5x 4, and that usually works for a 1000 point battle or less.

But yeah, try a smaller board. He's abusing you with that. Imperial Guard does the same thing.

Inside a pretty, pretty pain cave... won't you come inside?

Snikrot's kommandos, attach Ghazghkull and bring him in on the rear board edge near the Defilers. Scream "F... You!" while you rip him apart.

All that to take out a Defiler... wow. Defiler wins.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Wagons as mentioned above. Also, shoot the damn daemon princes. They're T5 with 4 wounds and power armor/crappy invuln. If you can take out a tac squad you can take out a daemon prince easily enough.

This. You're essentially condemning yourself to two extra turns of movement before you can get within charge range, and those battlecannons are going to be raining down the entire time. No shock that even a mildly shooty army could rip you a new one... I shudder to think what a mechanized IG army could do to you.

Ya, I think the next game I run up against him, I may try the commando trick, that seems like it would do a world of good.

Do the Lash princes have the demon rule that makes them Eternal Warrior, or already have Eternal Warrior? Because the answer to that question is a few las cannons.

Yes, they have eternal Warrior and their invul save is pretty good, I am pretty sure it is a 3+.. they are more or less annoying as hell with their power of move something like 12 inches, which is rather rough.

They have a 3+/5++, or 3+/4++ if they have MoT.

If they had a 3+ invuln, you would see many more of them.

The 8x8 board was used for multiplayer games - most of the games were 6 players, 3 armies and 6k+ pts to a side.

Usual board is 8x4.

The 8x8 board is a lot of fun though....

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.
