Just curious as to what you all think about upgrading the vindicator.

1. Side armor 12.
2. Make the Siege Shield 20-25 pts. and shooting allocated to front armor facing is resolved at AV 14. (since all CC is rear now)

Let me know what you all think and if this would need a points adjustment. I know nothing ever goes according to fluff but it is fragile as a siege vehicle, Bolting a thicker plate on a rhino just doesn't cut it. It might work on a Pred. (you park and shoot) but a siege tank for crying out loud! Unless your laying siege to a fortification that is 20ft. wide your gonna get shot in the side, its just common sense. So comments on points adjustment and game play are welcome.

I'd say 140ish without the shield and 160ish with.

About the same as the Demolisher, but less armour and no heavy bolter vice better speed and improved BS.

I'd feel comfortable play testing against it at that price point to get a feel for if it worked or not.

I always thought that the Siege shield would be like the Gorgon shield, although perhaps not because it's smaller.

On a 4+ the damage is ignored if it's on the front armor.

I think the idea of AV 14 would be okay, but that may be pushing it...

Maybe the siege shield could ignore 1 and 2 on dmg chart if shot against front armor?

But the front is where the weapon is, so it's vulnerable there.
