Hi.

I'm looking to field an infantry heavy (as in, NO vehicles at all - walkers allowed) 1000pts IG list for taking on a fairly well-rounded Tau Force.

I have a lot of vehicles, although, of late, my Arch-Nemesis, Shas'O Migod (Poor Effort on character Naming, I've always said) has invested heavily in Railguns. By the literal Shiiiiiiiiitload.

To counter his ability to wipe out fields upon fields of my tanks in turn 1/2, I've turned to infantry. He hasn't really got much that can kill them readily, unless I walk too close to his firewarrior sqauds (of which he hasn't got many, because he spends all his points on railguns and battlesuits).

I'm looking for someone to help me out with an army list to counter this force.

(Please, by all means, write an "ideal" list, without taking into regard the units I have. I can field most IG formations, and I'm looking for an excuse to get some more models, so please, feel free to write what's best, not what's best with what I have.)

if you don't want to join that cool i'll say this though platoons over vets and seriously consider Al'rahem. Outflanking a platoon seems kind of essential IMHO if you are playing all infantry.
