So I am running Flash gitz in my large scale games to act as a extra squad of mid range firepower, I wanted to hear the general feeling about them, Personal I love the concept of them, but in game place I have only found them to be effective about 60 to 70 percent of the time, that is also saying they are fully upgraded, personal I think they are a bit over priced, but on the other hand it is also nice to have them as a possible AP 1 unit.

You're right on the money when you say they're overpriced.

I avoid them like the plague.

Although someday I'd like to get some just to paint, they seem like they'd be fun to paint.

the problem with Flash Gitz that they take up the same spot as Battlewagons, and they have one shot weapons. Now, if they had a two shot weapon they would be worth it, but they're not all that great. I wish they were, but sadly they aren't.

sadly there isn't much in the lower AP values for the Ork codex, sure there is the Shokk Attack Gun, but that is quite dangerous, then there is the Kustom Mega-blastas, but they are Assault 1 on a BS of 2, not very likely they are going to hit and there is always a Zapp gun, while it does have a better chance of hitting with a BS 3, it also has a good chance of killing off it gunners. It maybe a gamble that they really just want folks to try. I mean they aren't horrible when you do upgrade them and when they work...they REALLY work.. As a whole I feel if they drop them to a Elite, gave them a second weapon and reduce the cost by maybe 5 point they would work... OR they gave them a DTV may also balance them out.

Sure, flash gitz are overpriced, but they aren't actually BAD. They're just outclassed by the rest of the heavy support choices.

In higher point games I have ran a squad of flash gitz. They are not that "Bad", I usually roll pretty well, when I roll their AP. But, I will tell you one thing that is overpriced, kaptin badrukk. He is not worth the price, and I hate that his gun has the gets hot rule. Because you know what I roll, when I roll to hit. . . a one, always a one. . . stupid gets hot rule.

Alaster, if they move them to the elite section, they're competing with lootas & kommandos (2 burna + Snikrot) good luck.

Mmhmm. They could give an option of having 0-1 Flash Gitz as troops for every big mek you have. Given that Big Meks are quite popular, that'd make them a bit more useful I think.

I really think if they gave them a DTV of a Battlewagon, that would work.
