Subject says it all. Giants got unusual attacks, but do they get to TS now? And what if they fall down? Or in some of their other wacky situations?

If they get it, they sure are a lot more valuable IMHO.

Thx.

classified as monsters so yes they get thunderstomp.

If they fall down i would say no, since they arent allowed to make any type of attack while on the ground.

They don't attack normally though. And Thunderstomp is used with normal attacks.

Hmmm

So if they Yell and Bawl, the enemy doesn't fight and loses combat by 2. Then they Thunderstomp? So do they lose by more than 2?

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.

No, because Yell and Bawl states they lose by 2.

THunderstomp is simply an attack with the ASL rule. If he is left unable to attack e.g. fell over then you would not be able to continue.

Sounds like it would be a cheese to allow him to get extra wounds out of Yell and Bawl like that.

Anyways,

With the amount of special rules for the giant, I think he would fall under: 'Unique Unit' BRB pg 87, and not 'Monster'.

No Thunderstomp for him. Or stomp.

Trouble is the BRB bestiary disagrees with you: Giants ARE monsters.

Amusingly a Slaanesh giant thunderstomps at initiative, as it has ASF and ASF cancles out ASL.....

Hell, I havent even read the bestiary yet. Wow. Mo for sure. So then, I would say it gets a Thunderstomp. Rules for monsters say so. It would be at initiative 1.

Thats hilarious about the Slannesh giant though!

Actually it is after I1, as ASL is the very last thing.

You can also cast a Light spell that makes you ASF. That rocks with Stegadons etc....

ASF + ASL = I

edit: but I think Stomp and Thunderstomp are special rules. They are attacks not on the character profile itself. Like if you had an item that gave Killing Blow, I don't think that would apply to Stomp/TS/Imapct Hits, etc. As those are attacks given by the Big Book and don't seem modifiable. But in the same token, I don't think they could be taken away or negatively modified. Except if you lowered a unit's STR, and that would end-around affect them.

One hopes. Otherwise, the Keeper of Secrets loses ASF, by virtue of being a Monster (and thus having Thunderstomp).

Uhhhh thunderstomping doesnt make the unit do everything last, just the thunderstomp...

So it would get its normal ASF attacks, then the thunderstomp as well as your opponents attacks would go in initiative order...

All the ASF + ASL rule says is that if a model has both, they cancel. Then we're given this odd scenario of an attack being ASL.
