My friends like battlefoam and there are plenty of custom solutions like foam trays in gun or guitar cases.

KR multicases aren't bad, and look a bit like camera cases - perfect for undercover geek-missions!

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

Sabol Motorpool makes nice cases for cheap. They have vehicle and infantry transports and it is what i use for my armies besides orks for them i use a rifle case that i got for around $20.

How did you arrive at that calculation? Is that based on base prices? Case sizes? Something else?
Calculate how many models a Sabol case (with foam costs, too) will hold. Compare that to a Battlefoam case that holds the same number of models. How do they compare then?

I like their custom cut stuff though.

Lol rifle case for orks....nerds like us....riding public transportation carrying a rifle case would catch a certain amount of bad attention lol. as for toa vehicles yes any vehicles will fit well depending on the size of case and foam.

Rifle cases are cheap and effective - $20 at the end of hunting season. Just slap some stickers on it and people will think it's a guitar case!

For UK KR Multicases are absoloutely briliant. I have been using them for quite a while now and I have just ordered another for my Ork army.

http://krmulticase.co.uk/mainuk.html

They even do some useful custom trays for Tau, SM, IG and Necrons.

Thanks! Almost exactly what I have been looking for :(
But thanks for the link.

Hmmmmmmm....... BadabBlack, could you do a review of the product you bought, specifically with some pictures? I'd like some details about the case itself beyond what the link you were kind enough to provide (thank you!) has, amd would like as precise of dimensions on the foam as possible. Don't care too much about the inner pockets where the models go, just the outer L X W X D of the foams.

Ok guys here's a ruff review of the:
Feldherr MINI PLUS 32 and Monster half-size Figure Case
Measurements :
Case itself
Length = 11.5 inches
Width = 7.2 inches
Depth = 5.9 inches

Figure Trays
Length = 10.9 inches
Width =6.9 inches
Depth 1.3 inches (measured on the outside of the figure compartments)

The compartments for each mini is 2 inches long an inch wide and an inch deep, easily fitting a SM

Vehicle/Large Creature Tray
Length and width are the same as the mini's tray the Depth is 2.7 inches

N/B The Vehicle tray is pick and pluck and real easy to set up as you can see from the pix

This figure case comfortably contains my 1000 points which = 1 tactical sqd 10 mini's (1 Plasma Cannon + 1 Multimelta + 8 SM's)
10 scouts (1 Ssgt Telion + 1 ML + 8 Scouts)
1 Ironclad Dready
1 Cyclone Speeder
5 Assault marines
1 Cptn
I also have a Drop pod but i have a Trip flare tube which I use for that

Any questions just ask guys, I'm happy to help.

People think we don't but we do. They're a little more expensive over here (around GBP30) but still great value. Best bit is that no-one here knows what a rifle case looks like so they usually assume it's an instrument.

I have never been a fan of then to be honest. The foam does not fit the cases properly and there is too much movement from within which has caused numerous broken models. The new plastic cases as well look very cheap in comparison to the older style ones. I also challenge GW to do the KR multicase test and Fill one of their cases with models and throw it out of a moving vehicle lol

I have a tool box I use for my Tau

My Nids have a GW case-works fine for now.

Daemons- are in a hard plastic storage tote- magnatized down to a sheet of steel. (this is the route I will do with all fantasy, with steel sheeted movement trays as well.)

Elves are in a box awaiting above treatment.

My 9 model 750 pt BA army is just chillin in a box, no painted no worries.

I don't find that there is much wrong with the GW case, but where it does fail is the plastic locking mechanism. It really needs an additional strap around it if you want to confidently carry it around by the handle. Even with that I suspect that it would spill its contents if dropped from a slow moving transit van. The key locks on the KR case give me allot of confidence for when I take my guard to WW for the Silver Sorcerer on the train.

I only have one GW case, that came with the megapaint set the mrs bought me and it stays safely on my home office protecting my paint from a certain toddlers prying hands.
