I've got some coupons from miniwargaming for 6 free reaper paints with minimum purchase. I mostly use Vallejo and some GW stuff. So I was wondering were there any unique or interesting colors in the Reaper line not in Vallejo or GW's line? Because I really have no need for a little bit brighter blue or something I already have in my selection of VGC/VMC paints.

I have no clue what's in Vallejo, but Reaper Blackened Steel is my 'goto' silver metallic color - I like it a LOT more than boltgun, myself.

If all else fails, you can't go wrong with this for 5 free reaper paints, even if it's not very exciting, they will get used, at least:

Pure Black
Pure White
Flow Improver
Slow Dry
Matte Medium

All the flesh tones. So much better than GW's... I really like two shade: Old Bronze (great when mixed with a little hawk turquoise for a patina'd bronze) and Oiled Leather. GW's brown range leaves much to be desired in varied tones and I like the options that Reaper has there too.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
