Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

Hey everyone. I'll be putting together my first army soon and I think I'll be going with Salamanders. I considered Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Crimson Fists, Black Templars and of course Salamanders before coming to a decision. Below is what I currently plan on buying to put together my first list.
HQ:
Vulkan He’stan (Land Raider Redeemer)
Troops:
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Multimelta)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Multimelta)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Multimelta)
Elites:
5 Man Terminator Squad (Land Raider Redeemer, Thunder Hammers, Storm Shields)
Dreadnought (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Fast Attack:
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Heavy:
Land Raider Redeemer
I figure I can harass with the landspeeders before engaging in close combat with my primary force. As I improve at the game I'll implement more advanced tactics but I figure this should work for my first few games. I'm planning on having Vulkan ride with the termies. I'm also open to adding another dread if you guys think it would be warranted. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yours Tacticals are illegal. You can't take 2 MM. Besides I advice you to setup differently the 3 Tacticals. The usual problem with vulkan lists is the long ranged fire. Between 12-24" you become really efficient with all this Flamers/meltaguns/MM but before you're completely hammered by all the heavy long ranged fire your adversary can shot. Of course you'll have to optimise all the Vulkans buffs but doesn't ignore in the same time some long-ranged weapon suhc AC, LC, ML etc. You'll need it. I'll try to setup one of your tacticals meltagun+MM+PF, another one flamer+ML+meltabombs and another one flamer+plasmacannon+combi-flamer. The Vulkan+Terminators+LRR is a good combo, but now I'll prefer a LRC, with extra MM because you'll also need some ranged anti-infantry (besides the hurricans are TL, the infernos no..). Dread is good but again short-ranged. You need to pod him in the battle. The LR of any kind you'll choose can be taken as dedicated trasnport for the Terminators sq. so, if you'll have enough points consider some heavy support choice, ie one or more Predator AC/LCs (just 120pts each). Again, if you'll doesn't offer a minimum of long-ranged support fire in the early 2 turns, you'll advance completely passive under yours adversary fire and, without considering the lonely LR, all other vehicles can easily be nuked/stopped down by a little AC, Plasmacannon, MLs, etc etc.

HQ:
Vulkan He’stan (Land Raider Redeemer)
Troops:
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Flamer, Powerfist)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Flamer, Powerfist)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Flamer, Powerfist)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Flamer, Powerfist)
10 Man Tactical Squad (Rhino, Multimelta, Flamer, Powerfist)
Elites:
15 Man Terminator Squad (Land Raider Redeemer, Thunder Hammers, Storm Shields)
Dreadnought (Drop Pod, Multimelta, Heavy Flamer)
Dreadnought (Drop Pod, Multimelta, Heavy Flamer)
Fast Attack:
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Land Speeder (Multimelta and Heavy Flamer)
Heavy:
Land Raider Redeemer
Predator (Autocannon, Heavy Bolter)
Predator (Twin-linked Lascannon, Heavy Bolter)
This is a revised list I just finished. At the start of the game I can bring my Dreadnoughts down right on top of the enemy. They can tie up the enemy armour for a while while my landspeeders harass the rest of the enemy force. Meanwhile I'll be moving my main force forward, covered by my Predator(s). This way my primary force can engage without taking heavy losses and my Dreadnoughts, Landspeeders and Predator(s) may even take out a decent portion of the enemy force. I figure in game with lower points I can drop the Landspeeders, one of the Predators, two Tactical Squads and ten of the Terminators and this strategy will still be effective. I think it's important that I keep two Dreadnoughts as opposed to just one because one Dreadnought alone will allow them to concentrate all of their firepower on it and it will surely go down almost immediately. I'm aware that this army is very heavy on the flame based weapons and that it could use more long-ranged firepower but I really do want to maximise on the bonuses I get from Vulkan He'stan and I feel that if I use the strategy outlined above I should be fine. Any further help is appreciated as this will be my first army ever.

I'm not sure if 15 terminators can fit into one LRR

Before you read further know that I am not as familiar with the 5th edition space marine rules as I am with my BT codex and even there I don't have much experience with versatility (I run a one tactic fits all army/play style) but for what its worth here’s my 2 cents.
A LRR you can only transport 6 terminators. (even with fifth edition and all the crazy changes)
A model in terminator models counts as 2 models for the purposes of transportation. (if you have the fifth edition space marines codex it says this on page 102 I believe)
LRR holds 12 marines and so half that number (6) in terminators.
On a side note the LRC hold 8 terminators or 16 marines but you lose the flame weapons and have hurricane bolters instead.
If you want a 10 man terminator squad you would have to deep strike them in, because walking them in is not so preferable.
About your tac squads you don't necessarily have to have a powerfist in each, generally space marine armies (BT footslogging armies) especially use powerfists as a CC anti armor weapon or against monstrous creatures with high toughness values. You might want to switch them out for some simple power weapons (which cost 10 pts less)
Besides that it seems alright to me, might be tricky with reserve rolls for the drop pods, bjt assuming they do arrive when you want the MM at close range should do loads of damage to any vehicle (and if you assault right after you'll do even more)
An 5 man assault squad could also be useful to tie up enemy heavy weapons teams. Basically move them fast (move 12" run d6 and repeat until you can move 12" and assault 6") engage heavy weapons in CC so that they can't fire on your tac squads. You could even give them a flamer if you wanted.
If I put any false or incorrect information in this post I apologize, I am so tired that I spelt “rules” rools and was convinced that MS Word was lying to me when it underlined it in red. Take it with a grain of salt is all I’m saying.
Edit: Black or brown skin for your troops?

Really, go buy the SM Codex first. Otherwise, we're giving away GW's Intellectual Property. That'll eliminate the 15 termies in a LRR and other mistakes.
Although, you'll really get a good idea of what you want by SEARCHing other Sally lists.
Generally:
Vulkan
a tactical in rhino per 500 points.
A LRR fulla TH/ SS termies.
MM/ HF speeders
There's a Sally list at any level.

If you want long range firepower that can do close combat, consider a dread with lascannons. I would also recommend a Devastator squad with lascannons.
