The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

I seem to have way too much time on my hands this morning...

It seems clear to me that if you walked under a ladder, then a few second later smashed a mirror, you'd add the bad luck generated. However, what if you smashed a mirror whilst walking under a ladder, would you add the bad luck, or multiply it?

Also, is bad luck a negative number (on the same scale as good luck) or is it a positive number on a scale completely separate to good luck? This too would raise interesting questions, as if luck is a negative number, then walking under a ladder whilst smashing a mirror could result in good luck if you use the luck-multiplication system outlined above...

On the other hand, this could also land up in multiplying good luck by bad luck, which would result in really bad luck. You'd be screwed if you found a 4-leaf clover as you walked under a ladder, for example...

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

There are ways to quickly counter that bad luck. You generate good luck by random acts of kindness.

For the ladder, quickly envelope 25 American dollars and send it to yakface care of DCM, whoever that is.

For the mirror, open up your window and start throwing your really heavy metal warhammer models at random passerbyers. Make sure to aim for the head. Their lobotimization should make them converts to Warhammer.

And there is your answer, moar or most likely, less.
