This is my first img post here on this forum. So tell me if Im doing something wrong. Thanks
Anyhow.
I started a new marine project. First I tought of BA but threw that idea. Whanted something cooler and more original.
Even tough I have a smurf army I never liked the cartoonish look of marines. The mission was to capture the eeling in John Blanches artwork and the concept of marines as stated in the big black book "Adeptus Astartes-The Angels of Death".
This is the first one. Going to add battle damage, dirt and blood on sword when I get the tamiya teq right.
Things I need feedback on -
The brown. Darker? More red? More Yellow? Donno. It feels ok but not spot on.
The right pad. Insignia. Nope, not going for classic big arrows. More military like imp guards.
Painting in general.

Thank you for any input.

wow thats really good, i'd say leave the brown as is it looks really neat. only suggestion is not to put blood on the sword that's so over done that its lame to see (or is it so uncommon its aweseom because everything thinks its lame because is so overdone....)

lawl. So true. If I paint the entire army and THEN apply some blood, its sure to be awesome again.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

That looks very nice. Good paint apps, and the brown looks good with the BA icons. The bolt pistol looks like it could have been cleaned up a bit better, but thats my only critisism. Is that one of the old DC metal models?

I dunno...

I think the brown would look good if it were a touch darker, but it might just be the pic.
