I'm new starting a roughly 500 point ork army list
Want to know:

1: how many points of ork is in assault on black reach
2:the points for each individual assault on black reach unit
3:if not 500 points what are the best units to fill the point slots

By roughly 500 points i mean there is room for more (i don't need exactly 500)

what units should i add or remove from assault on black reach to strengthen it?

Am new so don't expect me to understand everything

Off the top of my head I cant remember how many points are in it. I can remember that the orks are right at 500 points or a little under. The Space marines are a little over 500 pts. 600 maybe.

If your just starting out and you wanna play orks the AoRB set is fantastic. The rule book and templates along make it worth it. Plus you get some boyz a very nice warboss and some deffcoptas.

As to what would be best to get to help start out your army? It really depends on what way you want to go with your orks. but ether way just getting another box of boyz will really help. No matter how you eventually decide to run your ork army you'll need plenty of boyz so thats a good start. Don't forget to buy the ork codex as well if you haven't already!

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

It's 460ish if I recall correctly. Close on 500 points. The worst thing in the box is the Deffkoptas, since Boyz are fantastic, Warbosses are great, and Nobz can be geared to be incredible.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Don't let "worst" make you think "bad" I personally love deffkoptas. Yes they are a little pricey but here's how I find them most effective:

Give at least 2 buzzsaw (make full use of wound allocation shennanigans) mine are as follows:

TL Rokkit
TL Big Shoota & Buzzsaw
TL Rokkit & Buzzsaw
TL Big Shoota

This works amazing if you have first turn if not it still works well, though it is best done with 2 mobs
Turbo-boost as scout move.
Move 12 toward scarriest enemy unit, usually I find it's also the shootiest
Shoot it
Assault it

If it's a vehicle congrats, you have 6 str 7 auto-hits on the rear armor before it has even had a chance to move If it's not congrats that big scary shooty unit is now locked in assault for at least 1 turn allowing your boyz to move in.

However should you not have 1st turn, you still have a 3+ cover save from turbo boosting & you still will be able to get off an assault turn one as your effective charge range is (24 + 12 + 6 = 42 inches)

np, Don't get me wrong they aren't amazing but they are a cheap buy (ebay can usually net you $5.00 a piece) and are personally my favorite fast attack choice, as well as a good points booster (each one can get a buzz saw if need be)

By the time my first armies ready i intend on having 6 koptas
How much points is it to field a kopta cuz at the local club they play like 500 points (i think)
and i want to know how many of my koptas i'll be able to use (and still have room for my other units)
I expect it'll be like maximum 4 but i'm new so i'm not sure

The Orks have actually quite a bit less than the marines (470 points?).

And the Deffkoptas are pretty good against armor. (They rip my dreadnought to pieces every time.)

To fill in the points I recommend some upgrades to the nobs, mostly some bosspoles and big choppas, or add some nobs to the Boyz with bosspoles.
