G'day guys!

I'm putting together a new army. it's gonna be my show army (at my expertice level, anyway.)

To do this I'll need a retinue squad or, SM CCS.

As such, I need to know some things.

Firstly!

I'd rather not have to buy a new captain, so I'm looking for making a captain out of the models in the kit itself (I've got a well-painted standard bearer from my previous army.) I need to know: does it have a power weapon and a plasma pistol. that I could give it.

Can I assume that the company champion has a power sword and combat shield. Does he still have his bolt pistol and chainsword? if so, can I give him a plasma gun, or other special weapon?
Can I assume the same for an apothecary?

What is the best way to arm the CCS?

I was going to go 5 plasma guns + bolt pistol [or plasma pistols, depending on how many excess points I would have.]
which turns out to be about...
225 - 295 points.

is that worth it?

Oh, and I was considering a lascannon-armed razorback for tank popping.

what is the best option, in peoples opinions.

PS: I run a very gunliney army, with my only non attricious infantry being an assault squad, the captain himself (attached to jump infantry with a jump pack) and a semi-shooty terminator.

You cannot give the apothecary upgrades. I would say that if you upgrade to a champion then he cannot take upgrades as all his stuff is replaced. You can run 4X plasma and a banner.
