Heya, this is my first post to the forum  nice to be here. Seems like a fun place.
I was wondering, after reading this battlereport of berzerkers shooting with pistols after they got out of moving land raider. Can you disembark from assault vehicle and shoot (an assault weapon) and then assault the target in the same turn?

Only if the vehicle is classified as an assault vehicle or is open topped, then you can...

Land raiders are assault vehicles so you can disembark and still assult. Assault weapons allow you to shoot and still assault. So no rules broken.

p67 deals with disembarking.
If you disembark from a vehicle which has not moved, you can assault.
If you disembark from a vehicle which has moved, you can not assault.
Additionally, if you disembark from a vehicle with rule like a Land Raider or Stormraven's Assault Vehicle, you can assault.

Isn't that why they're called assault weapons? Because you can shoot and assault? (I mean in the game not in real life...)
