heyguys. sorry, I'm guessing this has been discussed through the roof, but I couldn't find any threads.
if I move using Gate of infinity, do my heavy weapons count as moving?
as it says, I count as deep striking.
therefore, I can assume that, as with the normal deep strike rules (which I was always told, didn't count as moving for the sake of heavy weapons.)
I can shoot my plasma cannon, if I do GOI. but I cannot assault or move normal.

I'm pretty sure that you can't fire heavy weapons after deep striking because you just count a moving period.

Deep Striking always counts as moving, so no, you cannot fire heavys after a GoI.

Deep strikers specifically count as having moved. p95, the section starting "In that turn's Shooting phase..."
Relentless deep strikers would be able to fire heavy weapons as normal.

GOI uses Deep Strike rules, Deep Strike counts as moved, therefore weapons count as moved for purposes of firing when you use GOI.
As an example, if you GOI with a squad of terminators then the terminator armour has specific rules allowing for them to fire as if they hadn't moved. If you used GOI with a tactical squad then they could rapid fire as moved, but any missile launchers or other Heavy weapons count as moved and cannot fire
