Regardless of that fact, I have noted we have a few WoW players here and thought I'd ask a question, which is your fave race?

edit - oh and there is no 'None of them because I can't stand WoW' choice for a reason. If you hate WoW, but take it to the 'I hates WoW thread' I think it's buried somewhere in about page 18.

Tauren. I love being a cow that flies a helicopter. That and they actually moo when you do the /moo command. Still makes me laugh after 5 years of playing the game.

Orcs in game, but as all round warcraft race, Trolls, I just think they completely screwed them up in WoW, Shaman class is a joke, it's nothing like a Shaman. WoW hates it's fluff :(

If you could make an actual Troll Witchdoctor I'd start playing again.

Holy Odin those games were good, Even WoW was good before the expansions.

Forsaken.

They were always my favourite because of all the scheming and backstabbing they did within the Horde.

Btw worgen are bloody stupid, a race that has never been mentioned before in the fluff, and def not in any way above a creature of pure instinct. Now they are playable and wear clothes? riiiiiight

The Worgen have been around since vanilla wow. There are even entire questlines around them. Granted its going to be a blatant copy of the forsaken for the Worgen to break free of their curse but not turn back into people. Only time will tell how they try and pull it off.

For looks. Drenai. The women are the hottest lol.
For lore Night elfs.
Least favorite. Humans. Dumbest lore there is.

Heh, Humans aren't getting much love.

Oh and the Worgen do seem odd on one level, but from what I heard at Blizzcon (had stream,) and after playing the starting zone at release, I reckon I won't have any issues.

Hell as a Werewolf the Apocalypse fan, I'll just be happy to have any kind of were under my control.

So what about a werecat? or wereboar?

If they where an option, oh yes.

Regardless I know my wife is threatening to shift all her main chars to Worgen, (especially her Healy druid and her Rogue) as she loves Werewolfsies even more than I do.

We also are planning on not going for the 85 chase this year, even though my Night Elf Rogue was first in our guild to 80 for Wrath. Planning on settling down to a nice evening or trying to elbow past the five hundred plus other folks playing Worgen starting zones that first night.

Dreani All the way! I would agree there women are the hottest!

Cataclysm will literally do this to ALL of the Warcraft lore.

Orcs and Tauren. I just recently started digging the Tauren, but Ive always been a fan of the Orcs. Personally I think the Blood Elf women are the hottest. But once Cataclysm comes out, I might add Goblins to that list of most awesome. They look cool as hell in the pics

Ah, but soladrin, the origonal warcraft lore was too sparse to be practical for an MMorpg. They'd have to add more races, and flesh existing ones out more than just the unit model.

I for one, knew that eredar in wc3 were little more than an archimonde skin but as a creep. Now i hear they have alot of background and information. Even a playable race or something!

Incidently, Everyones saying eredar females are hot (eredar are draenei right?) but surely, surely its the undead girls? Gotta love a bit of necrophilia in the morning to get you up and going for the day.

Not really, lot of books came out before WoW, like the sunwell trilogy, day of the dragon etc. It's not just games mate.

And yes they fleshed it out somewhat for WoW, only to kill t all off, how does this at all sound epic:

The viking looking dudes around uk/up/howling fjord... their female models are fierce.

I havnt played in years (got bored) but I loved the fem dwarf. The \silly made me smile every time.

As with fluff, I have read some WoW novels and enjoyed them a lot. Don't mind the fluff.

I play WoW quite a bit - I started off with a night elf because my bf and brother both rolled draenei and I wanted to be a druid (so no other choice). When we stopped raiding seriously I leveled a lock and a shammy to 80. I know it does not go with the fluff but I always desperately wanted a gnome druid

Now that I no longer raid (got really boring and sucked all of my time) I am leveling my dream character - a huge male tauren druid named Fuzziewuzzie. Yes I am a female player but I figured half the guys play female toons - and female tauren are simply too ugly to play. And lore and fluff aside NOTHING would be scarier than a huge male tauren running after you with a 8 foot tall mace.

I must add though - has anyone seen the new possible troll druid forms? wowwiki.com has them posted and wow...

Leveling and painting miniatures = nice relaxing combo imo.

Orcs. Orcs all the way. I think that they're the only WoW race that has enough ATTITUDE.

PinkPaw I to have always wished for gnome druids, that way my bear form could be a Carebear

The newbie moment when you pick your class (in WoW or 40k, etc.) is always fun. Later you are either pleased with your choice or wonder what the hell you were thinking lol.

I've gotten baby spiced in bear form (shrunk to a cute little cub sized bear) and it just makes me want a gnome druid all the more...

When i played if it could be a gnome it was a gnome....

If cata let gnomes be druids i would resub in seconds.

PvE was a huge disappointment.

When icecrown came out our A-team beat all the new raid bosses first or second try...

Racial Abilities aren't bad, plus, I usually roll the priest...

I would say i like Night Elves the most ( minus their wtf long eyebrows ) Which i believe it even wiggles , which then reminds me of roach antennas.

My favorite racial ability would have to be shadow meld.
