So, cruel (and by cruel I mean bloody marvelous) fate has placed me in a situation in which I have some extra readies-£61, to be prescice-to spend on whatever I choose. However, as is so often the case, I can't decide what to buy! So I'd appreciate some help, I've put together my final shortlist of possible items and reasonings below. Thanks in advance.

Option 1. Dark Eldar Battleforce and leader
Yeah, it's the big one. There's plenty of rumours that they'll be re-released by the end of the year, and as a long time fan of the Dark kin I'm thinking I want in on that action. Since the DE actually have a battalion that looks it, and I'm one of the 3 people on the planet that actualy like the current models, I think it would be an excellent first purchase. However, the problem lies in that I've got a metric gakton of stuff that still needs doing (I.E, I've got a whole host of DG terminator's that still need finishing), so I don't want to have all that backing up.

Option 2. Apocalypse
I LOVE Apocalypse. Love love love it. Seriously, I cannot get enough of it. So it might surprise you to know I don't own the two Apocalypse "Bibles", as they were. So I see this as my chance, my oppurtunity to feild cool things like Deathwing redemption forces and chaos Doomsday devices. The issue is that, though I love it so, I don't get to play Apoc. nearly as much as I could do. So I'm wondering-would it be worth it in the long run?

Option 3. Cities of Death, and accompanying terrain
Currently, my battles at home are played across the exciting warscape of planet varnished table, with a farmhouse meant for 15mm historicals and tree's that Guardsmen tower over. It is in desparate need of 40king-up with things like ruins and hills and whatnot-the only thing that currently looks correct is my Temple of skulls.. Cities of Death just seems like the perfect compliment to them, allowing me yet another way to play our favourite game of toy soldiers as well as more options for my burgeoning campaign (if anyone's interested, the Renegade guard are currently winning ). If I did go for this option, what terrain do you reccomend me picking up?

The cities of death Imperial Sector is amazing. The amount of plastic goodness is insane.

As for women - for the women you really want you don't need cash. The ones who only care about cash - they quickly become annoying and will go towards someone else with more cash.

Id wait to start buying dark eldar till the new codex comes out cause new codexes have a tendency to cause WYSIWYG problems with some of your stuff not to mention I bet alot of people are waiting for the new codex to come out to put alot of their unwanted DE stuff on ebay which will give you a chance to pick up alot of those models on the cheap.

You can always make quality terrain for much less than GW sells for going to a hobby store and if you like modeling and what not it might be more fun to make your own stuff with a theme in mind then trying to find ways to fit GW terrain in.

Your gona need alot more that 61 pounds to impress a chick.

So if you like to run apocalypse and know people who will play games with you I'd pick up the books if you think mega battles are fun you can even play on the table you pimped out with homemade terrain.

I just noticed option 4. I'd go with the scoring women.

Failing that, Cities of death terrain and such. You will use it more and it will boost your opportunities to play. Something about everyone wanting to play against the fuy that supplies cool terrain.

One-Do I still drink beer if I'm not legally old enough to?

I would love to build my own terrain, but I don't have anywhere near enough skill to make anything remotely passable-and besides, I'm a lazy b*st*rd .

Oh well in that case, just put "root" in front of wherever it says "beer" and you have the under-drinking-age version.

Go for apocalypse.

You may like the DE models but when (they will some day) the new ones come out they will be much better.

Terrain really isn't hard to make, and while GW terrain is nice, playing on imperial ruins all the time gets boring. Just grab some old cork board, a cheap glue gun and some old CDs and you can make many very realstic ruins.

Well, I went to the store today, and in a great spot of luck I managed to combine option 2, a bit of option 3, and even a tiny bit of option 4. When I arrived, it turned out that today they were having a special offer if you brought the two Apocalypse books together. Never wanting to miss an oppurtunity, I got them both, which left me with enough cash leftover to purchase a Basillica Administratum (though sadly not the COD book).
Oh, and how did I get option 4? I was standing by the door deep in thought, when a girl my age trips over. I manage to catch her, and in return she smiles at me-not the 'thanks for catching me.' smile, but the 'Are you going to catch me more often?' kind of smile. Now, with me being an utter r*t*rd around women, I just smiled back, nodded and walked off.

Ah well, she's a regular-maybe she'll be in tommorrow and I can "press the advantage", as it were.

As a fellow slow around women, I can't really rag on you for your appalling inaction in that situation.

But if you don't remedy it at your first opportunity, we are no longer speaking.

Ok, the woman thing is silly. 61 pounds is laughable pennies and honestly my theory is university-first, career, score that investment banking job earning me 100k a year and THEN score women. It's much much easier to attract women if you're decently well-off and they're not being shallow they just don't want to date a bum.

SAVE THE MONEY, and then spend it when DE come out. You don't want DE becoming extinct do you? Then the DE update needs to be successful after GW is putting so much investment into it. If it doesn't sell well they'll just squat it out in favor of more space marines.

Do you want a world where there are only space marines? (The horror, the HORROR)

To be fair, when the DE come out I suspect evryone and their pet dog will be playing them. There will be little chance of them going extinct.

And you do realise that the woman thing was the obligitary 'humour option', don't you?

It doesn't matter. Next time a package gets shipped or something, use the styrofoam insert to make a building or something It's what I do.
It takes ten minutes at most. All you need is a knife (don't use the hobby ones. They break too easily. A box cutter works better.) and a sharpie to mark what you wanna get rid of on it.
Then, just vaccum up the little fluff balls that fly off it when your done.
Paint, and you got a bunker.

If you want easy terrain, I have some tutorials on my blog.

As for what you should spend the cash on, I'd go with Apoc. It is a safer bet that you will use it than a DE force, and doesn't invalidate your other armies.
