There where some forests and some rocks spread over the field. Center was pretty much empty. it looked a bit like:

I won the rolloff and deployed first.
I deployed coven in the center. on their right where the mechanithralls and the slayer behind them. the deathrippers where placed on either side of the coven. Warwitch stood behind them. The pistolwraiths stood left of the coven. then the skarlock (just behind the rock) and then the banethralls. (skarlock could cast ghostwalk on them if i Wanted). In AD-round (after his first setup) I set the cankerworm behind the forest right off the center.
His deployment was also pretty straightforward. The jacks went in the middle with butcher and the dog behind them. to the left where the shocktroopers and on the outer right (at the edge) was Fenris. After my AD he put the reavers in front of Fenris on the right together with a manhunter. on the left just behind the edge of the wood was the other manhunter.
I started of. I gave a focus to 1 ripper, cankerworm and the slayer. I kept the rest. Coven moves up a bit first (conjunction). They cast veil just next to the large forest. they then cast infernal machine on the slayer. they keep the rest of the focus, since there is no need for occultation. The Cankerworm runs into the forest and looks upon the jacks, eager to take over the icebreaker. 1 node runs up and hides inside the veil. The warwitch moves up and uses powerbooster to give a focus to the second ripper. It then moves up and hides just behind the veil. The slayer runs up to the forest. the mechanithralls run up a bit and form a defensive line so they can intercept the reavers next turn. The skarlock moves up and does nothing. the thralls run up full speed. the pistolwraiths run up to the foret at full speed.
His turn he gives the jugger a focus and keeps the rest. He runs beast and the jugger up standing side by side. The Reavers run up the right flank. the manhunter stands among them. Fenris catches up to them with his massive speed. The shocktroopers run forward. the manhunter on the left also runs forward, taking a flanking position on the thralls. He can charge them next turn, but I can also charge him with the thralls. Butcher moves up to the jacks and casts Iron flesh on beast. he sits on the rest of the focus. wardog also moves up.
My turn I feel some pressure, but nothing I can't deal with with 9 focus I give 3 to the cankerworm & 1 to the node behind the veil. The veil is not upkept, infrnal machine is. 4 focus on the coven left. I run the node with focus toward the left hunter. he is now within 5". The other node moves into the forest (standing about 8 inch from beast and the jugger). Coven activates and moves up a bit. they then start casting. I start by casting curse of shadows on the jugger (no boosts). I hit and he is down 2 arm. I then stygian abyss the manhunter. I do not get a crit, but I hit nonetheless. Damage on the hunter is 8+12 = 20. That manhunter is dead. I then activate cankerworm. he charges beasst, making sure not to be in melee-range of the jugger. He uses the AP-attack first and after a boost to hit and the extra die of chargedamage I do 17 damage to him, taking out 3 colums (5, 6 and 1) I then do a tailattack with boosted damage and only roll 6 on damage, scratching the basecoat (only not painted model he had ) I dismiss the worm as I do not exect beast to have a problem dissabling the worm... the first pistolwraith moves up a bit and shoots the jugger, chilling it. the other moves to the right a bit and takes 2 shots at the reavers, killing 1. the mechanithralls move up to intercept the reavers, making sure they can only get 3 or 4. the warwitch moves into the forest and powerboosts the slayer. The slayer then moves up to the edge of the forest with a runmove, ready to intercept the jacks/butcher if they move up. The skarlock moves up a bit and does nothing (coven does not really have a need for it...). the banes move up a bit standing at about 8 inch from the shocktroopers now.
His turn he hands out 3 focus to beast and 1 to the jugger. He keeps the rest for himself. He moves fenris up to intercept the thralls on the right. he kills 2 (no more in range). Then the reavers charge the 3 remaining thralls they can reach and kill 2 (1 reaver wiffs, the rest can't reach). the manhunter runs up to stand behind fenris and wants to take a shot at the coven next turn. He punches on cankerworm with beast and missel 3 of the 4 attacks (he does not want to boost to hit. the 1 time he connects he can't boost damage and so is stuck with 8 damage. taking nothing out. (brilliant grid on the worm as damage came from 1 and took out 2 columns). Then the jugger moves back 5 inch, as do the shocktroopers who also shieldwall. Butcher moves back to stand behind the jugger and casts Iron flesh on the jugger. the dog charges the worm (just outside 3") and does 8 damage starting on 4. Again nothing out. He then retreats to stand besides butcher.
My turn I look at the field and thanx to cankerworm I see a opening. I upkeep the curse and I give 3 focus to the worm and the rest I keep on coven. To make it quick I start with coven. They cast infernal machine on the worm. They do not use the rest of the focus. The worm charges through beast into a opening just large enough for a medium base. The dog makes his counter and does nothing, missing it's attack. Cankerworm directs a armourpiercing attack at the butcher. I boost attack roll and hit (needed 7 and wanted to be sure...) the damageroll is already boosted and I roll 6,6,4. armour 18/2 = 9 and p+s=11. he lives barely and my opponent calls it, as I have another attack with a possible boost (I told him I could wiff, but he did not believe me, plus I had a lot of other attack vectors left, while also able to make sure most of his troops would not be doing much next turn.
In hindsight he should have blocked of the base of the butcher with the dog. That mistake cost him the game in the end. I also think he should have used his troops more central on the field. he wanted to try divide and conquer against me, but he has too few troops to do this effectively IMHO and I could defeat him because he was divided...
I like coven but will invest in something other then the skarlock next time, as he did not add much. the rest of the list I like, although I would have liked it if it was a tierlist. ah well, dropping the Skarlock and adding a witch is a possibility... that way it is T2. I would love to add withershadow, but I do not own them, and they are pretty expensive to use in a game. (5 points is a lot in 35). for now I think I will stick to this list for them as I think it plays well. Next week I will try asphyxious with a unit of revenants and some other goodies...
