I'm having trouble deciding what army option I like the best for a Killa Kan wall. My original plan is this.

However lately I've been feeling more and more like I need some sort of fast/reactive element.
I was thinking of dropping a Big Mek, the grotzooka killa kan squad and a squad of boyz in exchange for a warboss on bike and a 5 man nob squad complete with bikes, 1 pk, fully unique gear and one painboy (as a troop choice of course with the warboss in the picture). I like the idea of having a fast element that can react to big guns out of the reach of my lootas or fall back on units coming in outflank or deep strike. That eats a lot of points however (440, almost a third >_< ) so its hard to justify. I've also considered dropping a kan squad for a kommando squad with some burnas (again, pretty much to hit guns that are out of reach/provide amusing distractions for approaching armies) that could outflank. spare points from the kommandos could be directed at a suicidal squad of gretchin. I could even drop a big mek and throw Snikerot into the squad just to be sure I could get them in where I wanted.
well now that I've finished my rant... any thoughts?

It's a very solid list. If you're looking for a fast element, consider dropping a Loota mob for two Deffkoptas with TL Rokkits and Buzzsaws. Then split the remaining Lootas to diversify target priority.

ugh, but deffkoptas are even more expensive and less useful than nobs are. I understand they can get up and hit enemy transports or guns on turn one, and maybe they'll bust one open. However its SOOO expensive. I have a list with deffkoptas, and unlike nob bikers I actually own a few of them, but the point cost is brutal. Heck I was thinking of chopping up the koptas, putting wheels on em and calling them bikes! sadly, I'm very indecisive and don't have played very very few battles so far, so I can't seem to make up my mind.

Well, the list looks very solid.
Two mobz of Lootas can give decent fire support and pop transports early in the game.
Deffkoptas can get rather expensive. I'd keep the list as it is.

3 S7 auto hits on rear armor plus a 55.5% chance of a S8 hit for 70pts is expensive? I love my Koptas and they never fail to perform well for me. I always kill at least one tank with them and one game they blew up a Punisher and a Leman Russ (my opponents only tanks) first turn. The list is great, but if you need to add something fast, add Deffkoptas.

So I wanted to revise my own thread to ask a question that probably belongs in another thread. I keep getting yelled at by a friend of mine to mech up because he thinks foot sloggers will never make it (which so far hasn't been justified by any of our games, though they've all been small games so far). I had a thought, probably a horrible thought because I can't figure out how to swing it, but has anyone created a foot slogger list based around ghazghull giving everyone permanent 6inch run speeds?
I played around and took the original list posted here, dropped a killa kan squad and a big mech and replaced it with ghazghull (and 5 more boyz). The primary issue with this is of course, the varying movements of the army. The idea is to keep a wall of killa kanz for cover in front of my boyz, but if the boyz are moving 12 inches on turns where they run and the kanz are only moving 6+1D6, the kanz will get over taken. Add to that of course that ghazghkull and his squad will also move 1D6+6 when running and the army might lose its rank and file after two turns of movement (course I guess by turn three i'll probably be shooting with shootas instead of runnning anymore unless I see something tasty out front). Anyone have any lists involving gahzy as a footslogger? I know, it seems silly.

I dont think its a bad idea at all. 1500 points I think is too low to include Gaz. You only get to WAAAGH once though not every turn - that would be SICK!. Id use it the turn Im going to assault in - the extra distance will be nice getting around the Kans. The Kans can stand and shoot and hopefully open some transports they the boyz and assault the contents of.

whoops, you're right. I read it as all the following player turns, not all the following turn which is what it actually says. My whole point is moot then, ignore the post.
