I'm trying to fill out my 2000 point army and I have 248 points to spend, at the moment I'm torn between using Njal Stormcaller, a pack of Skyclaws with Power Fist, Mark of the Wulfen and a Meltagun or 4 TWC. My existing list is a mechanized list, every squad having a razorback or land raider to ride in and a pair of Predators.

I have 1 HQ, 1 Troops, 2 Elites and all 3 Fast Attack choices free.

I would Say Njal if you had room for him in the Land raider; but as your army seems comprised of Closed top, no fire point transports, and he should not be foot slogging on his own; you will be wasting his special ability until he can get out(and you Pay quite a few points for that ability).

Without an IC to go along with the Skyclaws; their headstrong rule means that they will never be able to Fire that Melta to full effect(within 6" means no Firing) While the other 2 Choices here are good, special weapons are worthless on Skyclaws(without a Wolfpriest with a jump pack attached)

So I guess it would be the 4 TWC and then throw some extra kit on some other units for the remaining 48 points.

Barring that I might take another 5 grey hunters in a T-L AC Razorback, and If you have Wolf guard already add another WG with Thunder hammer and Storm bolter

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

I'd also vote for TWC. They're a great unit, and with all the vehicles you should have no trouble running a screen for them.

behind you!

thunderwolves
I cant even describe to you how aggravating it is, as a bike player, to be getting run down by guys who hit as hard as thunderwolves do. they're mobile, tough, hit like a ton of bricks, and are reasonably priced. pretty much all around awesome. Njal is cool too. skyclaws are a definite no.

Thunderwolves. Use the extra 48 to points to throw in a cthree Wolf Claws at 45 points so they can reroll hits or wounds and have a better chance of Rending.
